I do not know if you guys have any clue of effective operations in KPK involving these women .

Anyway may be it did not work out in Punjab or any other area as some mod mentioned in his pot but here in KPK i can tell you that even ordinary women police constable even were great help and played main role in flushing out terrorists from their holes and from among the women and children they were hiding .

I can narrate literally that last year we were doing a sponsored legal aid programme wherein we invited police women who played key role in cordoning off militants and saving women and children who were being used by militants as human shields in a suburban area of Peshawar. These policewomen were sent by male counterparts since it would have alarmed the militants if males went to carry out the first round of operation.

It was a risky job done well by women.

The police women constables are ineffective, we needed well trained women to manage gender-segregated events. If they have to tackle a female at some point, a male policeman doing so will inevitably cause an uproar. So I believe this initiative is much needed, women in Punjab and Sindh Rangers have already proved invaluable in everything from house searches to crowd management.

To body search a female or search houses, do you need all that fancy training? Why are they firing rpgs and other heavy weapons? Just give nominal training for the work which they will do only. We already made lady army doctors airborne qualified when we all know that they will never do such a stuff in real war. We are known to waste more money than required for anything.

SSG is elitest of elite and that too zarrar company. Do you really think that they lost their lives just because of parda dari from girls? Lal masjid is wrong example. That was a straight forward ssg job . The Islamabad police ladies handled the girls pretty well outside.

They conduct search ops along with males successfuly in the slums and afghan bastis of Pindi Islamabad as well. But you dont need to be a commando to do that and you dont need RPG's and AGL's when you do that. Why waste so much extra time, money and effort?

They will not fight in FATA besides they will at most be used to body search females on raids in Afghan bastis and to escort females in case of terrorist attack.

Even sending them in on their own is a huge gamble to begin with. What is the guarantee that they'll only encounter females? and if there were male terrorists among the females, would they not take these lady commandoes as hostage? How unacceptable a situation like this would be! I don't know, I do see a purpose of females in uniform but I do not really understand their training beyond certain level. Even in the West, from where we get all sorts of inspirations, the role of females in handling 'situations' is limited for the obvious risks involved.

I know these female commandos which some members think will fight TTP directly. They come with male commandos when ever there is a search op in slums etc and their job is to aid in house searches and body searching females, that's it. When ever there is a terrorist attack , every body calls army for help even their male counterparts are on outer cordons.

What was the need to make lady doctors of army airborne qualified? Well we did that because perhaps we are a rich nation with spare money and resources. A member even suggested that casualties would have been less if these ladies went in lal masjid instead of ssg, well what can I say I am speech less to that.

Try to think why even US does not allow females in combat roles(army). Many young strong patriotic males are jobless while you are saying that a female force should fight with TTP. They are not going to even fight dacoits, let alone TTP bibi. You are mistaken.
