Sarpanch is not of the same breed or people. Kashmir is a disputed territory with a long held record of dissidents, they can have the voice regarding their issues. If anything, if the Indian state and its peoples were slightly smarter; they would never have had this problem if they listed to their "fellow Indian" as they claim.

Not the same breed of people ? does that justify assassinations ? "disputed" territory also does not justify killing of an innocent human being. IT does not justify firing or throwing Grenades at police which are armed with non lethal weapons. There is a difference between having a voice and pelting stones/bullets and grenades at people who have a different voice to what you have.

Spot on...Again, i hope this statement is applicable for every one...There are drastic opposite view in every society and the perception and ligitimacy is determined and derived the way, stakeholders view situations.

During British Raj times, there were locals who joined the colonial police forces and British Indian army, etc. who were very loyal to British, accepted British India as it was and helped kill fellow locals.

And then there were others who fought against the British, like the great Bhagat Singh.
