For example. Early batches of F-18 E / F years 1999 to 2004 have APG-73 mechanical. Later batches of F-18 E / F years 2005 onwards have APG-79 AESA.

AESA do not move and easier servicing.

• The APG-79 AESA radar demonstrated marginal improvements since the previous FOT&E period and provides improved performance relative to the legacy APG-73 radar. However, operational testing does not demonstrate a statistically significant difference in mission accomplishment between F/A-18E/F aircraft equipped with AESA and those equipped with the legacy radar.

The latest planes have AESA instead of mechanical just like the latest planes have DSI instead of traditional intakes.

did you see this clip before you post @undertakerwwefan o_Oo_Oo_O its a fixed AESA mechanical steered Radars like this

There are no more mechanical radars. All the new planes come with AESA only. MiG-35. Su-57. J-10B. J-20. F-35. F-22. Just like all the new planes JF-17, J-10B, J-20, F-35 come with DSI only. No more traditional intakes.
JF-17 is not using AESA but Upcoming JF-17 block-3 will using AESA in future, J-10B uses PESA instead of AESA, J-10C using AESA, i am taking previous versions of F-16/F-15/F-18 A/C, Su-27/Su-30/ MIG-29 of 80 and 90's still all had mechanical steered radar in their nose cone @undertakerwwefan :hitwall::hitwall::crazy::crazy::crazy:

Yes. All new planes use AESA just like jets replaced prop planes. All new planes use DSI instead of traditional intake.

They don't have option for mechanical radar anymore. All newly built ones have AESA. There is no option for mechanical radar. Radar manufactures don't make mechanical radars anymore, only AESA.
Ef-2000 t-1/t-2 used mechanical radars beginning on 2003, RAFALE FR-1/FR-2 using PESA instead of AESA, Gripen C/D is also using mechanical radar Look it yourself @undertakerwwefan :blah::devil::blah::devil::blah::devil:
RAFALE
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RBE2

RBE2 AESA
The RBE2 (Radar à Balayage Electronique 2 plans) is a multirole radar developed during the 1990s for the French Dassault Rafale combat aircraft.

While the RBE2 uses a passive electronically scanned array (PESA)

EF-2000
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euroradar_CAPTOR

The Eurofighter operates automatic Emission Controls (EMCON) to reduce the Electro-Magnetic emissions of the current CAPTOR mechanically scanned Radar.

Gripen
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS-05/A

The PS-05/A is a pulse-doppler radar currently used by the JAS 39 Gripen fighter aircraft(JAS 39A, B, C and D variants). It weighs 156 kg and was developed by Ericsson in collaboration with GEC-Marconi, sharing some technology with the latter's Blue Vixen radar for the Sea Harrier (which inspired the Eurofighter's CAPTOR radar).
PS: based on captor which is mechanically scanned RADAR

So blah blah blah blah:blah::blah::blah: you stupid @undertakerwwefan :hitwall::hitwall::crazy::crazy::crazy:

Those were built earlier. Any new ones built only come with AESA.

Currently Used by British, Spain, Italy, Spain, Saudi arabia, etc etc t-3 in development phase with AESA with improved engines @undertakerwwefan :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

RAFALE FR-2 currently used by France which has PESA FR-3 which will have AESA for France, India, Egypt and others in development phase @undertakerwwefan :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

Gripen C/D using mechanical scanned radar, Gripen NG will have AESA/new engines/new avionics etc etc @undertakerwwefan

Why you're not accepting the facts EF-2000/RAFALE/Gripen using mechanical scanned radar @undertakerwwefan :crazy::crazy:

They are all getting upgraded with AESA. It's like asking. Hmm. How come no one uses prop fighter planes anymore. Duh. These aren't built anymore.
