Unless the situation in Myanmar rises to critical level, the policy of the West right now is "see no evil, speak no evil" since they support the new democartically-elect government there.

In Syria, the West support Islamist militants because Assad's government is the enemy of Israel but friend with Russia. Thus, America, Israel, Turkey, and European countries aid the militant group, knowing full well that there are Al Qaeda elements in the Islamist. The world has gone crazy again!

However, the amount of aid to Islamist in Syria by the West is being surpassed by the amount China provide Islamists in Myanmar. PRC supports the Islamist group with not only basic military weapons, but also heavy-grade equipment such as helicopter that has been reported before. They do it to "punish" Myanmar for recent attempts to get off their gripe and be-friend American, as well as Japan. Furthermore, Myanmar is a good place to battle-test Chinese-built equipments against Soviet and Western ones. This is the main reason as PRC is trying to pitch their stuffs to other countries.

Please, read the OP for this thread again because this topic concerns about "Massacre of Muslim students in Burma." So there is no need for me to inject Buddhist people here. Furthermore, no where in my comment indicates that I have no knowledge on Buddhists involvement in the United Wa State Army. Btw, that organization is not the sole group opposing the Myanmar government there.

Your comment, on the other hand, shows a certain personal animosity. I will accept it for now.
