Well its true there is still segregation in the U.S, yes that is something nobody can deny. Blacks and latinos are still descriminated against. However overall, the U.S still has way more better human rights than China.
But i agree with those chinese members who say the U.S shouldnt be criticising/lecturing China everytime about this issue. However, i think its Naive for China to wish that, since our governments in the west/U.S just uses this to further their interests and gain a more positive image towards other countries, hence gaining goodwill/allies
. The thing is, we in the west/U,S still have by far the most far reaching/sophisticated media channels/propaganda networks which are mainly 'privately owned'(conglomerates) unlike the more direct government controlled media/propaganda channels/media in China and Russia which is obvious and unsophisticated. So using this advantage we can basically dictate which country is bad(evil axis.lol) and who is good/benign depending on our interests. For example. had this story happened in China instead of the U.S, then believe me it would have been all over t.v/newspapers/media channels in the world, and the U.S government would have come out to condemn the use of force in quelling the protests and call for freedom of expression/minorities to be respected by the chinese government.
Its true in a normal world, this will be called hypocrisy/unfair
However, we dont live in a fair/merry world do we?
. So any country/block will seek to use any means at their disposal to undermine a rival country and protect their own interests(which i dont find anything surprising/wrong in that), it doesnt matter whether the means we use is fair/unfair, right or wrong, what matters is the end result.
Unfortunately thats the world in which we live. So China , Russia etc should stop complaing and up their own game, if they are not up to par with the west/U.S then they have only themselves to blame. So crying everytime about how unfair/biased/western propaganda bla bla bla wont change the fact that they still are powerless/weak to change things in their own favor .
So yes, the U.S does have its own human rights issues(I have been there and even lived there for a few years, and came to noticed that compared to even my country, the U.S still has lots of catch up to do in terms of law/security/welfare/social security/healthcare etc) but overall they are still way ahead/better than China in human rights/freedom of expression. So in conclusion, yes the U.S uses propaganda/media to further their interests/shape world opinion and against their rivals, but thats how countries act/should act as far its serve their interests/objectives. its up to other rival countries to seek way to counter this if they can.
So stop whinning.
