How is an increase in religious intolerance good? Not everyone can get out of the country, the majority of people are always poor who are left behind to be traumatized by a vengeful bigoted majority.

Because the Indians and Pakistanis are pretty much the same when it comes bigotry and religious intolerance. And Pakistan unfortunately was the first among the two to put the deadly mix of religion and politics together in the government, so it serves as a living reminder of what happens when you attempt to enforce religious views of one section of the country over another
