A miscalculation is not "illegal".
Elections will happen either on the slotted time next year or if some other circumstances develop then perhaps sooner.
The finger-pointing is everyone's collective responsibility to stop. For each finger the PTI points in others' direction, four are pointed back at them. Hope you see how counter-productive this has been.
You say that neutrals brought the PDM in, the PDM says in 2018 the neutrals brought PTI in.
Of course, it is not "illegal", people, individuals, institutions, and organizations everyone tend to make mistakes, the good are the ones that realize and rectifies (the famous u-turners) while the ones that are adamant about standing with their mistakes are the bad ones.
For me and most of the people I know it is not about PTI, PDM, or PML-N, were they backed in 2018 or now, Did the US, EU, or Ethiopia hatched a conspiracy or not is also not the main point of contention.
The problem is multi-faceted starting with the Departure of NS, putting it on IK is just an excuse we all know and it is very much clear by now that it was facilitated by neutrals, again I am not implying they had ill-intention, maybe that was the most viable option but 70 years is a long enough time to realize that this "facilitation for a selected few" does not lead us anywhere and a line should have been drawn.
PDM winning the no-confidence motion is a purely political move, PTI was outplayed or parties like MQM, Shahzain bugti, etc are always available to the highest bidder so PTI not budging might be a bad political move but excellent on moral ground. The issue is not PDM but rather the way the judiciary handled it be it accepting/opening random and PDM petitions at midnights while PTI petitions are being declined for bringing them "after officer hours" and all the other random short & long orders. If the proceedings were not so biased things would have been different.
The same goes for LHC and Punjab situations; the entire parliamentary proceedings and LHC decisions were a joke. Again it is not the 80s or 90s where information is only available in the next day's newspaper and that too is managed in the middle of the night.
Lastly allowing convicted father and son duo to take an oath and practically get an NRO. The bashing Neutrals are getting is because of this, all that was expected of them to make sure that country is not run by thugs, I am sure there could have been many other cleaner politicians in PDM who were not having serious corruption charges or cases running. Neutrals always had this clout to make sure of it, and they choosing to be neutral is actually perceived as abetting them.
Corruption is the root cause of most of the problems Pakistan is facing, so if for the neutrals corruption is a non-issue then unfortunately it is to cast pearls before a pig.
