Martyred Armyman Aurangzeb's father set to join BJP: Jammu & Kashmir

Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir: The father of the slain Army soldier Aurangzeb, who was martyred last year while fighting militants in the Kashmir valley is set to join the BJP. Aurangzeb was awarded the Shaurya Chakra posthumously for his bravery. His father attended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Jammu & Kashmir’s Vijaypur on Sunday, as per an Indian Express report.

Aurangzeb’s father Haneef along with some other locales left Poonch district in Jammu for Modi’s rally. Haneef said he was inspired by PM Modi’s for his determination to help the poor, said the report.

The slain soldier was abducted by militants in was abducted from Kalampora in Pulwama last year which he was on his way to home for Eid celebrations. His bullet-ridden body was recovered by a police team. He was killed execution style with bullet wounds on neck and head.

His father then said he wanted the army to avenge the killing of his son in the next 32 hours.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Army chief General Bipin Rawat also visited Haneef, 56, after Aurangzeb’s death. Haneef belongs to Bakarwal community which is perceived by militants as ‘pro-India’ as the community is known for its cooperation in anti-militancy operations in the troubled state.

Haneef joining the BJP is also a boost for the party has it does not have a prominent face in Rajouri and Poonch districts. However, BJP’s opponents say Haneef’s entry in BJP would be insignificant as all prominent persons of the Bakarwal community are already aligned with the National Conference or PDP.

Muslims and other minorities are part and parcel of our modern India..
Our problem is with the people who are anri national in any part of India...And in Kashmir, due to separaist movement, most of the Muslims in valley do not like India..

You know it very well that IOK is neither part nor parcel of India. It is an occupied territory with it's fate still pending. Even if people of IOK stop their protests and attacks against occupiers, their struggle cannot be stopped. Remember from 47 to 90 they were quiet and waiting for the promise to be fulfilled but they were stabbed in the back. Neither Pakistan nor India have enough power to quest the other half, so in this case Kashmiris will keep resisting and Muslims in India even though won't speak openly but will keep increasing their population until they have enough majority to take revenge. That is the nature to fight back for the crimes comitted against them. Maybe for you that doesn't matter as you might be more Americanized but it will definitely create an impact in India.

Furthermore, this strategy of india to take advantage of some situation and having Muslim fight against Muslims will backfire in the long run. Just look at Afghanistan.

Ur mistake is to think all muslims want to dominate the nation and make it a muslim country. We dont have a problem with anyone who leads the life of a law abiding citizen whether its muslim, hindu, christian or sikh. The problem comes when they take up arms and talk about breaking India.
We have had remarkable muslim personalities, we even made one of them our president is the most loved president of this country till today.
