as kidnapping , target killings and other things are concerned karachi is not behind balochistan in that field even karachi was facing worst time few weeks back , i know about the two ports dear all i am saying is we need another port city in blochistan gwadar with international standards, and about basic things for citizens even citizens of karachi are not having proper basic needs if govt can finish the target killings kidnappings in karachi why cant it finish in balochistan ??? , as far as other provinces are concerned only punjab is doing good in economy's growth rest of provinces are behind cz of awful conditions of law n order and corruption if punjab faces the conditions like that whole pakistan's economy will be down with in days. over population is not the problem of only karachi its problem of many major cities of pakistan now.

First off don't talk about Punjab being more financially prosperous then other provinces. Other provinces have their resources stolen on a daily basis by our big brother Punjab. Sindh's gas, KPK's natural resources etc. Big brother Punjab the greatest brother one can have. Same brother that starts military operations in every province other then its own, from East Pakistan, KPK, Balochistan to Sindh. Big brother decides how much water each province gets, which ethnicity should be targeted next.
Why was the Nawaz era best for Punjab only? Why were revenues from Karachi going into Punjab while in return we got nothing.
Sindh's gas can be sold to foreign buyers for a lot but instead it goes straight to Punjab. The revenues from Karachi go indirectly to Punjab be it for military spending or federal government. While the unemployed people from Punjab run straight to Karachi and take away the jobs from the locals. Fact is Punjab's economy relies heavily on other provinces. Why do you think East Pakistan broke up? Their revenues were going straight to Punjab.

If Karachi's citizens don't have basic needs then it means none of Pakistan does because Karachi is ranked the highest out of every single Pakistani city in terms of human development.
As for overpopulation, Karachi faces the most. Most if not all of the IDP's from Swat and other KPK's areas landed straight in Karachi. Many terrorists joined them. Flood victims from all over the country ran to Karachi for shelter. Afghan refugees ran straight to Karachi.
Government has failed to control this simply because Karachi is not in the bara sooba. As long as Karachi provides majority of the revenue and GDP, who cares?
Fck the citizens of Karachi right? If they start moaning we'll start another military operation there.

I don't hate Punjab but man you guys seem to have some specific hate for Karachi only. Maybe itwas the brainwashing by state controlled media (PTV) or by your elders.

You should love GOA.. The Best place for beaches, temples..It ranks 3rd position for tourist area in India. The Designs, the architecture is simply awesome..the people are softspoken, friendly etc, etc, etc..

3-The current regime of PPP has been here for around 4 years now, has they contributed anything significant to sindh other than sindhi topi and ajrak day?
4-The revenue generation from Karachi depends upon exports, and where do the dominant manufacturing sector lie?

1- Who were the foriegn buyers? India?, Iran (who already has its Gas reserves)?, Tajikistan (Who also has its own gas reserves)?, not to mention the cost to be incurred on this infrastructure, the dominent portion of gas is obtained from Sui gas fields which are situated in Balochistan.
2-Again i say the from where are you considering the revenues? from the point of origination or from point of collection...
3-Exclude Karachi from Sindh, what is left in Sindh? Why Karachi is so populated pressure is being mounted here, because there are no oppertunities elsewhere in Sindh.....Why havent we seen any such explosion in say Lahore? because the other cities around Lahore do have industrial infrastructure which can provide jobs....Something which is missing in Sindh.

Infrasturcture development is something different from human development....human development is a subfuction of many items i.e. clean water access, slum population, access to quality education, law and order and a lot of other things.

One and foremost thing to say is that every person which holds a Pakistani nationality has the right to settle anywhere in Pakistan without discrimination, without reservation.

Again I say the point remains what revenues are you referring to, which are generated by Karachi on stand alone basis or being collected in Karachi while originated elsewhere. For example while a bank branch in KPK earns the revenue, the revenue is consolidated in a HQ situated in Karachi. So while the revenue is realized in Karachi, it has not been earned in Karachi....I hope you would clarify on that

Well again it depends upon what are you referring to as citizens of Karachi, by the constitution of Pakistan every Pakistani national can become the citizen of Karachi without discrimination and without reservation.

Karachi collects 60 to 70 % revenue not generates your leaders are really dumb who feed you people that punjab is eating all of the revenue do you even know GDP of punjab is bigger then many countries around the world ?? punjab generates more then 60% of national income of pakistan and alone faisalabad is the backbone of whole pakistan;s exports and karachi collects the revenue due to its ports operations do consult some of your economic teacher or use google instead of being emotional here .

Indeed it is....Economy is like different blocks knitted together, Karachi has its own unique place in the picture, so is every other city....even swat has its distinction of adding to national product through attracting tourism. However, unfortunately, due to fragile and deteriorating security situation, the banks have started to move their HQs out of Karachi (ABL,MCB and UBL -dont know about who else-) have already done so because such deterioration leads to distortions in conducting business.
