Maoists to Mamata: Why don't you oppose Operation Green Hunt?

Kolkata: Days after Kishenji supported Trinamool Congress chief and Union Railways Minister Mamata Banerjee's Lalgarh rally on August 9, the Maoists have now written an open letter to Banerjee.

In the letter, the Maoists have asked Mamata why is she not opposing Operation Green Hunt launched by the government against them, and why is she in favour of using the Army to hunt down Maoists.

Calling the Congress "imperialistic" and "exploitative", the letter has asked the Railways minister to quit the party-led UPA government in protest.

But this operation is proving to be very costly in terms of manpower. We've lost scores of men just for a few Maoists being gunned down. I still feel special forces from tri-services should take over, infiltrate and raid in small numbers and cause heavy casualties to those barbarians.

The Maoists deserve a gruesome death, no matter what any fellow Indian apologist here says about their being "our citizens". You see, to exhibit emotions and feelings that are not repetitively reciprocated is foolish and shows a weak spine of the ruling establishment as well as puts the doubts on social resolve and national dedication of such so-called citizens who show apologistic sentiments to such no-gooders.

I was surprised a bit when initially the maoists supported the rally. and now this letter to mamata banerjee ! no doubt he maoists are feeling the heat. BTW I have a very strong doubt of Mamata supporting the maoists from the back...time will tell this, probably in the next assembly elections, we will see some big surprises in the area.

So the Naxals expected that Mamata who is personification of cult politics will support them instead of the comrades.? The scale of violence carried lately, was too much and for any politicians to embrace Naxals I think is suicidal. But who know those naxals were there since the 60s and are the glaring reminder of how our desi sahebs led this country, and disenfranchised the weak and poor.
