BHADRACHALAM: Maoists abducted 100 tribals from Duppatota village under Dornapal police limits in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh Thursday morning.
It is learnt that over 150 rifle-carrying Maoists force marched villagers into the forest after threatening their family members against following. Upon receiving this information, the Andhra Pradesh police have intensified their combing operations on the Andhra-Chhattisgarh border.
Maoists have in the past kidnapped tribals on the pretext of police being informers and even killed some of them.
