Yes ,that map was beyond strange,the migration pattern had one direction,in the one you posten now they spread across the globe from Africa.Plus it was weird to see random modern population names on a map describing human migration some 50.000 years ago.It will do wonders for my ego but romanians are not a 40.000 year old ethnic group. )

Migration is unidirectional only if there is a geographic bottleneck.Else migration has shown oscillating tendencies regarding direction; but usually the groups which first moved into an area dominates demographically as they are more in number by virtue of staying in that area for longer period of time except in cases where native population is systematically eradicated like that during mongol invasions of central Asia which changed racial character of the region.
