Is watching p0rn illegal in China?
The guy got fined because he scaled the GFW.
On p0rn, I'm not sure. But I remember reading a funny thread on Baidu forum a few years ago. One guy saved his 'action movies' on Baidu cloud and saved it under his private folder.
But somehow Baidu managed to detect them and deleted those videos, and replaced it with a 8 second video telling him that they are doing so to protect "the health of his mind and body".
Example:
So the guy was ranting how pompous Baidu is and how the heck did Baidu managed to access his private folders. The replies on the thread shared similar experience and they were all ranting how their 'action movies' got deleted.
It was a freagin funny thread and so I bookmarked it.

Too bad the thread got deleted. But I think Google Search still has some cache of it.

You never watched or stopped watching now?no I do not. anyone who follows me on Twitter will know that I am very much a part of the movement here in the u.s. that is trying to outlaw p0rn. and since when did living in the u.s. & hating p0rn become "hypocrisy"? only a deranged indian could've made the asinine claim.
While we are on the subject, can somebody recommend me a good VPN?
I am thinking of Surfshark, I am in the UK.
No watching domestic content okIs watching p0rn illegal in China?
No watching domestic content ok
But illegal if watching foreign adult entertainment stuffs
Some of them tried to avoid manual detection by 'camouflaging' their videos. Like renaming the p0rn videos with some famous nationalistic documentary titles.

But when you play the videos...
(title renamed to 'CCP's leadership' to avoid manual detection)
