Man created God!!

LP, 90% of the file sharing websites don't work in their "free" mode from my ISP.

Islam is perhaps the only religion that can be converted back to its "Godly" form, sure its been corrupted too, but not to a point where its Quranic sources would have been corrupted, the original word of God.

The rest, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, we have no original message.

Let's take Christianity. Present day Christianity was "created" at the council of Nicea, 200 or so years after Jesus. Jesus' religion was Judaism, with his message for peace and one God. Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi. But at Nicea when it was to be sold the Pagan Romans, it needed to be edited. The council hosted many religious scholars from the Pagans as well as the Jewish Christ-Sect. At that time, the new Testament was created. At that time, December 25th was declared Jesus's Birthday since many Roman gods had the same DOB.

I wouldn't say man created God, but he sure did an editing job to nature of God.

Most of the aversion to 'illogical' religious beliefs by Bharatias on this forum is what we would call in urdu 'Ankhon main dhool jhokna'.

They seem desperate to make themselves out to be oooh so rational, so scientific and modern. Wheras you will find them queueing up in their local temple on Sundays, ditto to all, partaking in puja of a stone murti, getting their foreheads marked with vermillion and munching of prasad.

This 'Act' won't wash with those of us who are aware of their machinations.

The last time I have been to a temple...
don't remember.

PS: I have decent human memory. And I am not proud of the above

Darkstar like you I'm a learner just like you i don't want to fool no one and will not lie to you i listen to videos tafseers etc and read to as much about Islam and Quran hadith as you do and a continuous thirst for knowledge of Islam and Allah. Brother Ikhlas is not a concept first off. Its the truth and reality Allah exists as the last ayat explains it all and is the simplest of all to explain that Ikhlas is the purity in its entirety that only applies to Allah and that Allah is one and only and this should be one's belief..like i said i am just a learner like you in order to understand it in detail u need to read the complete tafseer on Surah Ikhlaas.

are you saying Vedas have been corrupted? Or that we've lost the message of Buddha? Or Guru Nanak?

Yes vedas or whatever is corrupted..there might be some verse in vedas that might be in its original like God has no shape or form etc etc with which muslims agree Quran is the criteria to judge between right and wrong so everything that other books have to be brought and studied along side Quran if it does matches with Quran we have no problem in accepting it but if its doesn't we clearly reject it.

Thanks for your pearls. I'm not asking muslims to accept vedas, get out of ur tablighi mode and read what i said.

.

ya right.somebody said so and hence it has to be true...no proof no reference no logic nothing required. Would you take this reasoning in any other case or just a claim as proof itself? Its true hence its in the book. Its in the book hence its true. So very reasonable. Just claiming is sufficient?

This is funny. e.g. Bush could have claimed non-christians are evil..god told him so. So automatically it becomes true because he claimed it and has a bunch of supporters? No reasoning required..no proof nothing.
So what is right here and what is wrong here? Is it bush who is wrong or is it "those" people?

So belief is one thing..but dont bring a religious ideological reasoning or so called "truth" written on a piece of paper as a fact because there aint one. Its just statements. period. "X is good". "Y is bad." "God is called P." "God is angry". Whether you believe it or not is upto you. But it wont make it a fact.

Your are right in your assessment of the New Testament, but Let me add to it more. The 4 (Mathews, Mark, Luke, and John) apostles that bible did add from the 12 are very big indicators of the jesus life. Where each one, if you read them carefully explains jesus in a different way. And it is based on the area these four apostles were living. For example, John lived around the Greek region, where certains aspect of Pagan god and words were added to convert people to christianity.

So as I have said before, in the process of convertion, people say things that are similiar to the region. Hence, Man modifies God.

lets go back to the basics.......
1: if man created God then who created man?? may be some of u evolved from microorganisms but even then where did that microorganism come from??? in short where did the first living cell come from???
2: second question how did our universe come into existance.... was it just a big bang from which such complicated and perfect system got created... break a glass rit now and see if something lik that comes out of it...
Sir Francis said, "It is a little knowledge of science that makes you an Atheist, and it is an in-depth study of science that makes you a believer in God Almighty".
what was there before big bang??? the answer is that there was nothing... then there was a bang from which matter and anti matter was created... wat we have seen so far is only matter and no one knows where anti matter is, however scientists at CERN(google it to find out wat it is) have produced antimatter in their labs but in very little quantity. when u react very tiny amount of anti matter with very tiny amount of matter, massive amount of energy is produced in the form of pure light and matter and anti matter both disappear... now the question is how much of energy was required to produce this infinite amount of matter in our universe and anti matter which no one has ever seen but scientists say it exists. so where did that energy come from when nothing existed????????
3: now comin to Quran... things which science have discovered now are already there in Quran in one way or the other...
question is how did Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) knew all that 1400yrs ago???? had he come from the future????
4: if u go back hindu scriptures, ull find there are many similarities bw islam and hinduism and i am of the view original hindu religion came from the same God as ours. in hinduism (original religion) there is only one God and its wrong to come up with pictures of God. we muslims believe exactly the same....
watch from 2:00 onwards....

to me there is only one God. He sent down teachings to all the nations and those teachings were always the same. but we ppl kept on making alterations to those teaching in order to achieve our objectives... pure vadentists (believers of Veda) disagree with the concept of God comin to earth in the form of humans coz there is no such thing mentioned in Vedas however they agree with the concept of God sendin massengers or rishis or prophets. Vedas even mention prophet Mohammad(peace be upon him). now the question is how come was it there in Vedas thousands of year before prophet Mohammad(pbuh).

the question is how come all this was knows.

to me the answer to all these questions is God. that there is Someone who created us, created this universe and then kept on sendin His teachings through prophets startin from prophet Adam(peace be upon him) going upto prophet Mohamman(peace be upon him).

If God didn't exist, than man would have had to invent Him. There is a basic spiritual need and hunger in humanity, a lust for the Immortal. This can only be quenched by belief in a higher being, whatever one calls it.

There are rationalists who prove the existence of God. There are those, who disprove it. Philosophers and Metaphysicians have long argued these points.

But what cannot be explained, nor proven is the sense of tranquilty, and peace that one attains in belief in the Unseen God. A God not wrought by hands, or fashioned by our minds. A God not subject to the weaknesses of human existence. A God that is both kind and transcendent. A God that we need more than He needs us. A God that is as self sufficient as we are reliant upon His mercies.

This belief cannot be attained through philosphical calculations, nor through deductive reasoning. It may be logical, yet defies logic. The true essence of God's nature may be unfathomable for humans whose intellect can only contemplate it, yet arrive at no answers.

As for the new testament, it is accepted by today's bible scholars that the gospels were not written by the people accorded with its authorisation. At least three of the gospel writers were not eye witnesses, and that is apparent from the text itself, while there is argument about the fourth.

The bible as we know it has been heavily influnced by St. Paul, an early jewish persecutor of christians. His miraculous conversion on the road to Damascus (years after the ascent of Jesus), in which he claimed to have seen a vision of Jesus and earned his apostlehood. His writings form a big chunk of the new testament.

The Bible as we know it today, was given its final form during the Council of Nicecea during the reign of the first Christian Emperor of Rome, Constantine. The canon of Biblical books was established, and only those writings were kept which were in accordance with Imperial directives.

The Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Old Testament, are all records of oral traditions, which were written down centuries after their origins.

All of the books have interpolations, ommisions, etc. and versions vary from manuscript to manuscript.

The different with the Qur'aan is that at least the book is exactly the same as when it was revealed to Muhammad. There are no variant versions, and differences, as the Qur'aan today is exactly the same book as the earliest 1350 year old manuscripts that we have.

But having said that Religion was evolved as civilizations evolved .. to
1. For Hindus it is Narak
2. For Islam it is Jahanum / or do zak ki aag
3. For Christianity - Hell.
4. Jews - not sure what-- Maybe Nazi death camps

Good philosophy "" Man created GOD" but the question remains same otherwise:" Who created man". Religion is more a personnel matter of faith and belief. it can be defined as a set of symbolic forms and acts which relate man to the ultimate conditions of his existence."

But for jews ur finding is hilarious.:yahoo:

Do you now !

Would you find that as funny if it had been posted by a Pakistani Muslim ?

Looks like most Pakistanis in this forum have strong beliefs in their religion and most Indians in this forum dont have strong beliefs in their religion.

Very intersting!!!

The power of reasoning is something, we have evolved to..and that is why we can reason anything..which our ancestors could not. According to me again i said me ;
1. God for Man and God for Dog ..cow..pig would be same, so why only only Gods of this world are mostly Human form.(when i say mostly ..we hindu's have Monkey God also. and many others...)
2. There is no living person who has seen or met God or met its maker yet,

So one fine day..if it is eventually known that their is no God at all..leave at all the religion or faiths (Maybe a Alien civilization lets us know..) what would happen. Would we not curse over selves for doing killing fighting rioting in name of God.

However the downside of this will be that Man will have no Moral or any ethical bindings left.. we will start to live like animals as their will be nopthing to be scared off.. so for a civilizations and societies God was crucial.. and may still be..

Hope this article may help spreading the positive charm!! and least to say..STOP fighting in name of GOD at least.

^^His point is, there is no god and man has created 'god' to control people.

As some one said,

For wise-men, God is False.
For Rulers, God is Useful.
For common people, God is True.

Rightly said; and to add to your point..
For Politician : God is wild card !!!

God is used is different places in diff contexts and different reasons.. Ind india we call it the 'Religion card'..which political parties remember only when they are nearing elections.. A Muslim cleric is given ticket to fight election in Muslim dominated constituency ,similarly the temple card and the Church card.
But this was till late 90's ..now there is a change as more people are educated and understand what their demand is .. It is Infrastructure / Jobs and peace ..hence in this election we have a new card..Anti terrorism card.

I am sure in Pakistan their will be similar stuff..maybe based on ethnicity as religion is almost common.
;)
