Malik Riaz and Asif Zardari audio call leaked regarding Imran Khan

In this country, anything is possible. Without a question, PPP is what brings everyone in PDM together, so if PPP goes, the entire coalition will fall apart like a house of cards.

Fun fact, PPP is the actual architect of this whole plan, and was the party which was 'tasked' with executing it as well.

Ab yeh na poochna by whom :P

Buddy, if two members go the government falls. The easier target would be PMLQ members.
There is a small issue with that.

If the coalition partners refuse to support PDM, they will have to propose a vote of no confidence, which will require the support of a large number of members. The PTI appears to have left parliament so it will not be able to do anything.

Leaving the coalition partners does not mean the Prime Minister is de-seated. The PDM have their own speaker and people at key positions so they can easily prolong the Vote of No Confidence

According to Zardari, he was enraged with Imran Khan when he imprisoned Zardari's sister, who, according to Zardari, had no case against her and was merely imprisoned on the basis of a doubt that she signed a cheque on Zardari's authority and he did not sign it since he was the President. In the end, he has personal grudges toward Imran Khan.

The president can call the government to take a vote of confidence.

This is why the post of governor in Punjab is being fought over as well, and why PTI does not want to vacate it. The court case for that would be interesting too...whether the court reinstates the governor or not. Even if it doesn't, the supreme court order says that the votes aren't counted in the first place, so that's another headache.

Might very well have been, but the role of those who shall not be named doesn't exactly fill you with confidence.

A combination of factors perhaps...you choose only those for a task who are willing :P

The President can ask SS to take vote of confidence.

Lol. If tomorrow, a call between aqeel Karim and Imran Khan comes out in which aqeel Karim is heard telling Imran Khan that Asif zardari wants a patch up, would anyone believe that?

Discussing this audio is mere waste of time, untill reactions, from IK, Zardari and Malik Riaz, surface.

I don't think any reaction will surface from them. Their deputies instead will deny it till they're blue in the face. But why should anyone be surprised? PDM is a fractious alliance, it makes a lot of sense for IK to use PPP's differing interests to break this flimsy alliance.

The mainstream papers revealed the story then, which I posted here. Later on, the thread got deleted and I the ban. :enjoy:

We should all accept that all politicians have back channel contacts with each other. PTI is no different. They give different statements to the public and different to each other. They consider it political statements v reality. Look at PPP, their leader was hanged by the army but they still have close contacts with the army.
I’ll believe it if the leak involved a PTI member - not this crap

At this specific time, the leaking of such audio is purposeful and not accidental.
Seems certain people/groups are in real intense PIA and in fear of the feeling of a rise in IK's popularity and they are struggling to leave no stone unturned to malign him.

That is true, however the President cannot compel the parliament to make a decision within a specific time range. The president has no power... He can request that the government take action, but he cannot compel it to do so.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the request by the president to the government to take a vote of confidence is more of a binding order and has to be completed within a certain time limit, no?

Nops,

Just a verbal statement of seek the vote of no-confidence as far as I know...

The speaker will never call the "Ijlas" and President is not a Supreme Court where it can give a binding time frame.

Woah really?

I am trying to find the relevant law or clause regarding this but can't find any. Do you have any link?

What about the vote of confidence call by the governor then? I am pretty sure I heard Pervez Elahi mention that, that if it is a PTI governor, then they can call a vote of confidence and the Punjab govt would fall. But I guess the speaker being a PTI ally makes things a bit different there.

But agr yehi baat hai, to phir maqsad kia president say VOC dilwanay ka?
