Malala Yousafzai, the 16-year-old girl from Pakistan's Swat Valley, who braved the gunshot of the Taliban, will visit Pune on January 10, to be a part of the fourth Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad of MIT School of Government.
Malala will be one of the key speakers, along with Aung San Suu Kyi, Burmese leader, who was under house arrest for over 15 years. Malala has written her autobiography, I am Malala. She was shot by the Taliban because of encouraging female education. "Malala will speak about women's education, Indian youth and the importance of politics amongst youngsters in society. She aspires to be a politician in the near future, so she wanted to share her views about it with our students," said Rahul Karad, founder and convenor of Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad .
