If Indian shipyards are unable to handle the tremendous amount of work , maybe we should use French and Russian shipyards under contract to build Scorpenes and advanced stealth frigates respectively. At this moment with our Kilo class subs retiring one after the other --- Scorpene acquisition and after that 6 next gen subs should be priority one .

Our production lines are very much skewed in the favor of surface ships --- increased funding and experience in sub construction is required - wish the MOD could take some rapid steps in this regard.
