Hi
the sole purpose of this thread is to serve the western propaganda by bringing Islamic teachings under lime light while completely ignoring the other religions, It is not Islam which justifies the bashing of other religions under the banner of freedom of speech, i was taught Holy Quran by a Mullah but he never taught me to pour acid on women or disrespect them in any manner, rather he told me that i owe respect to all the prophets and holy books including Bible that is how great my religion is those who can't see it & love to blame all the ills of a society on all mullahs or religious scholars are just ignorant & confused souls

Ok agree to disagree and do not attack each others point of view or belief. It is a free country and there are polarising opinions everywhere.

However, such news should be limited in their scope or changed to come across more as a piece of sensible advice because other countries can pick up on such things and use it to malign a whole nation. In the current time, we should concentrate on our many other problems and leave this alone for now.

Education can be done without co Education so why send those Daughters to those Institutes ?

A Friend of mine showed me some inside pictures of Bahria University Islamabad.

Bro they were horrible and i was so ashamed to see what level we have came down to:disagree:

you are spot on.....

Everything should have some limits... If extremism in religion is not good than extreme Liberalism is also not good.

There is no concept of Mullah in Islam and Islam does not require any of these spiritual leaders or religious hierarchy. Every Muslim must read and understand Quran and act upon its teaching and will be accountable for his/her actions on the Day of Judgment. Each Muslim has his or her own personal relationship with God.

The Mullah's were created by secular and like minded people who happened to born in a Muslim family but did not want to read or understand Quran and needed someone for guidance that they could run to for religious matters.

You know what is the problem with us? Most of our very intelligent and highly educated folks (let me give the name of Sparklingway as an example) do not want to support Islamic teachings and culture for one or other reason.

I cannot say for others, but I have more than enough reasons to avoid religious debate. I presented my views, you opposed them on religious grounds. I'm totally okay with that and never said that anybody should be prohibited from practicing any religion in any way he or she wishes to do so. My views are extremely simple to understand. Faith is a personal mater. It should not be enforced on others. All faiths should have freedom of preaching and all people should have the freedom of religion and speech. State should not enforce any faith and should be secular, not aggressive secular.

Please avoid discussing my case further. I did not discuss anyone else here specifically either. I'm not saying that you targeted me or anything but it is binding on everybody not to label anybody else's views as "western propaganda" or "enlightened" as is the norm.

Debate, dissent, liberty and pluralism are essential to a democratic setup. Lack of debate spells disaster. Violent debate is a disaster itself. I'd like to believe that most of us are dedicated to working for our country, regardless of faith, race, creed or gender. That is what is most important for our country, faith is a personal matter in my opinion.

PS:- Please do not rebut arguments based on knee-jerk pan-islamic khilafat reactions.

for me he didn't said anything wrong... But by media propaganda few people are trying to brainwash muslim youth by presenting it as a devils' speach.

Our youth should understand himself what is wrong or right,, and should not take lesson from our enemies.

sir,
with due respect let me tell i am not your enemy..........
maybe i am not your friend
but the point is by making females observe purdah we r stepping back from our dream of an equal and free world...where there is no caste, gender, color, origin based inequality...
so please lets aim to make this dream true....

Sorry all these days had a doubt..pls anyone clarify:

In our tropical climates(with temps reaching 45 - 50 degs) isnt it a bit harsh on the women to ask themslves to be covered in purdah(worse in India the color is usually black) from top to bottom..? wouldn the salwar suffice.??

Wouldn the males agree if they r asked to wear three piece suitings wherever they go(not only in AC offices) in the Indian or the Pakistani summers..?

P.S.: If i had hurt any one religious sentiments..I apologize.

Do you know what is Pardah? - And it is available in different materials....... some of the clothes are really comfortable in the summer also

And last but not least.......... fearing 50 degrees of temperature nobody takes their clothes off and start roaming naked. If they can afford to wear Salwar Kameez in such a high temperature why can't they wear one small piece of Hijaab on top of their head? Its just a piece of cloth that anybody wear regardless of the temperature

Do you know in Pakistan, India - Mens take one piece of extra cloth that they wear on their head to keep it cool - in Hot Summer? - I forgot its name but its very common in south asian countries to keep one piece of cloth that they make it like TOPI and tie it up on their head to keep their heads cool
Wouldn the males be horrified if they r asked to wear three piece suitings wherever they go in the Indian or the Pakistani summers..?

P.S.: If i had hurt any one religious sentiments..I apologize.

No, who wants them to wear three pieces suit in summer? this question is not valid in first place - so does not need an answer

we've already had a long debate/discussion on this topic, go back a few pages and i'm sure you'll find your answer!

Hi
waoo very sensible approach

This moron should keep his mouth shut. We need to eliminate him as soon as we can.

This is what you had to say about a religious scholar who just delivered an Islamic message without any violence or threat of force, you are proposing to eliminate him just because he speaks the truth that we need to limit the American influence, can you kindly tell me how many people died in 9'11 attacks and how many Muslims have died in Iraq, Afghanistan & Pakistan since then. would you also care to define what terrorism is ...... it is fine to confront Islamic teachings because the whole world is doing it but we shouldn't say anything about global war on terror since nobody cares as only muslims are the ones who are suffering

Observing parda is not inequality but protection of society form many bad evils.. Have you ever thought that why AIDs like deseases are less in muslim countries but huge in non muslim countries????

No offence but AIDs patients in India are higher than any other country... DO you ever thought why???

Arrey bhai saab....we just wear a vest and a shirt above it..or just a shirt ....is it same for the women..? is it not a bit harsh on them?
And in India the majority of the Purdah is in Black color..Black in summer..?

Sorry it was actually a typo in my post.I aslo wanted to say no men would like to wear a three piece suit in summer. So y expect the women to wear their own version of the three piece suit..?

p.s.: Like i said..it ur religious matter..I dont want to interfere in it for the sake i might hurt some ppl sensitivities inadvertantly.Just had some thoughts...

Hi,
No offence
Just one question to the liberals.
How many of u will like to send ur young daughter or sister in a class full of average guys like u and me?
Note=I aint an extremist, liberal or even religious.Just a regular Joe........i admit im attracted to girls and im sure most of u guys are also?
How many of u guys?
Hassan Niasaar has talked about it very nicely.

Just for your information, I am a die hard apposer of Jamaat Islami and its terrorist wing Islami Jamiat Tulba but what Hassan Saheb has said is also worth considering.
