MIRAMSHAH: An army officer and two sepoys were martyred when militants ambushed a military convoy in Rogha Bahadar village of the Razmak area of North Waziristan tribal district on Monday.

A fourth security man suffered injuries in the incident.

An Inter-Services Public Relations statement identified the martyrs as Major Irfan and sepoys Mudasir and Muhammad Hussain. The injured soldier was identified as Irfan.

According to the statement, the injured and the bodies were airlifted to the military hospital Bannu. No one has claimed responsibility for the ambush.

One could possibly link it with the US if this act was perpetrated by the Baluch insurgents. This attack happened in North Waziristan and almost certainly the attackers were either Pakistani or Afghan nationals. Pakistan & Russia are not military allies. What would the US gain by hurting Pakistan for their Moscow humiliation?

I humbly beg you to kindly elucidate what is the link of the attack in North Waziristan with Israel? Thus far Taliban have not acted against the Israeli Commandos allegedly in Afghanistan; are you suggesting that Mossad has bribed Taliban to kill Pak soldiers! If this is so then Isreal & Taliban must have engaged at some time!

I am certainly not in favor of recognizing Israel until such time that Palestine remains on the boil.
But his kind of logic always amazes me. How can very intelligent people become so irrational when it concerns either the US or Israel?

In all probability, the attackers were either the members of Pakistani Taliban or linked to the Afghan Gov’t troops who blame all suicide attacks in Afghanistan on Pakistani insurgents and want to hurt Pakistan in a revenge attack.

It is more than likely that extremist attacks inside Pakistan will continue even after the Afghan problem has been resolved albeit to a lesser extent. This is because the Pak Taliban is a "Pakistan" based problem and a direct result of the spread of extremism as a consequence of the Afghan war and the Zia era policies. We need to re-educate the hearts and minds of the Pakistani Taliban supporters to end the extremist menace.

By blaming the incident on others we are fooling nobody else but ourselves.

No, not Israel. PTM knows that Pakistanis hate Israelis, they are using psychological methods.
If Pakistan takes part in a war or insurgency against Israel, e.g through Syria, and damages Israel, then Israel is bound to retaliate. Israel knows that Pakistan's major target is India and will remain India, apart from the terrorists outfits. Israel (and Pakistan) also know that India is hell bent on destroying Pakistan, so Israel doesn't need to waste its resources on Pakistan. The nuke threat to Israel comes from Iran, where as the attacks on Israel is carried out by Iran backed/funded/supplied forces, not Pakistan's.
Israel is focused towards Palestine and Syria, while Pakistan is focused towards India and terrorist outfits. Both are fighting for own survival with respective arch enemies.
