I loved Metal gear solid snake on the PS1. Gran turismo too. And Street fighter. Japanese used to make great games, now it's all about Assassin's creed, Call of duty, GTA, Need for Speed etc...

no body forces you to buy these american games, there are still various top notch japanese games

Granturismo still exist and so does street fighter and in fact street fighters is more popular right now then it was during the playstation 1 age.

he didnt used it because it was russian but because the original creator of mgs1 ost stole it from from the original russian song. Kojima was exposed and since then he didnt used the song ever again

New generation of gamers are different. Companies have to change with the times and address interests of these younglings. Else be phased out as being too arcane.

I grew up in the generation that hailed Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mario Party, Golden Eye 007, Banjo Kazooey, Diddy Kong, Streets of Rage, Killer Instinct, Mortal Combat, Street Fighter, Tekken etc.

The time when N-64, Playstation, Sega -32X, Sega-Saturn, Nintendo Game Cube.

Times have changed, i guess.

you do realize russia didnt even had videogame culture? There was no russian console or even aracdes. Japan and the west had plenty starting in the 70s. Russia only get very late in the 80s homecoputers being playable for videogames which were expensive.

Despite that we made probably the best Videogame

in 10 years we sure have better industry than UK

The Russian characters in the Japanese games seem to be generally less dehumanized than those in the American games, although they also played the villains very often.
