POONCH: The Pakistani Army on Wednesday resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian positions along the Line of Control in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir today to which India retaliated, sources said.

Automatic weapons and mortars are reportedly being used in the firing, which has been going on since 6:50 pm.

Pakistani troops resorted to firing on forward areas along Sabjian belt of Poonch district, a defence spokesman told the Press Trust of India.

"Due to the provocation the Indian troops appropriately responded," the spokesman said, adding that firing exchanges were going on intermittently since then.

Early in September, India had lodged a strong protest with Pakistan over repeated ceasefire violations along the border between the armies of the two countries.

I guess its a desperate attempt to
inflitrate Terrorist into Indian territory afterall recent floods have destroyed Army Infrastructure and Fences ( 90% restored as per the Tribune ) but , Cameras and other measure are not restored by now .

So what was it this time?? Poor BSF solider who lost his way and was walking close to the border or was it Some militants trying to infiltrate into this side of the border.....

The leaders stressed the need for joint and concerted efforts, including the dismantling of safe havens for terrorist and criminal networks, to disrupt all financial and tactical support for networks such as Al Qaeda, Lashkar-e Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, the D-Company, and the Haqqanis. They reiterated their call for Pakistan to bring the perpetrators of the November 2008 terrorist attack in Mumbai to justice. "
