Oh come on people, ugly people fall in love too. Despite what films portray, you don't have to be a stunning voluptous bimbo to have a man fall in love with you.

And most real life spies are normal people who can blend in. Real life is not a glamorous hollywood movie.

Agreed in India where I used to live there lives a man weighs umm about 140 Kilos but his wife weighs 65 and she is real real fair and cute, she used to work in Tak hotels,But...

The man owns 7 petrol pumps, has a ton of other businesses and owns an BMW 7 series.Need I say more..

But the man mostly drives in his Pajero because he fits in that.

Charges framed against Madhuri Gupta in espionage case - The Times of India

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court today framed charges against former Indian diplomat Madhuri Gupta for allegedly passing on sensitive information to Pakistan's ISI.

Additional Sessions Judge Pawan Kumar Jain charged Gupta under Section 3 and 5 of the Official Secrets Act for spying and also section 120B of the Indian Penal Code for criminal conspiracy.

The court fixed March 22 for starting the trial. Gupta, 53, posted as Second Secretary (Press and Information) at Indian High Commission in Islamabad, was arrested on April 22, 2010 by the Special Cell of Delhi Police for passing on sensitive information pertaining to defence to Pakistan's ISI.

She has been charged with breach of trust, criminal conspiracy and various other provisions of the Official Secrets Act.

It was alleged that Gupta revealed certain classified information to Pakistani officials and was in touch with two ISI officials, Mubshar Raza Rana and Jamshed.

According to the charge sheet filed in July 2010, Gupta was involved in a relationship with Jamshed whom she planned to marry. She used to communicate with Jamshed who had a code name 'Jim'.

The diplomat was using a computer installed at her residence in Islamabad and a Blackberry phone to be in touch with the two Pakistani spies, it said.

She had also visited Jammu and Kashmir in March 2010 on the instructions of Rana to allegedly procure the Annual Plan Report of the state. Rana also wanted information on the proposed 310 MW hydro-electric power project to be set up in the state by 2020, it said.

Arent this available freely on Internet are these type of Info classified? I doubt though.

How about stoning her to death?? Thats the best possible punishment for her... if found guilty

. . .
Quite often we hear reports of men leaking info to the ISI and being caught for that. That does not foment as much rage or vindictiveness. Is it because she is a woman that suggestions like stoning come up?

Here is one such example below. I don't recall anybody suggesting him being stoned to death. A woman being invovled in a crime seems to get us more heated than a man doing the same.

Soldier leaked Army’s top secrets to Pakistan’s ISI

Having said that, she should be given the maximum possible sentence under the law. Life imprisonment? Does India have the death penalty for treason? Does this amount to treason? I'm guessing not.

Yes. And note that I did advocate the maximum possible punishment, even if it means death penalty (which it won't be). I was just making an observation and mentioning the sexism as a side note, it is not very important on this forum. But yes, it is a fact that it exists in our minds.

He probably didn't mean it.............as in India, no-one can be stoned to death....

Contrary to what you believe....In India a woman practically can never get a death sentence(nomatter what she does)......as she is thought to be incapable of doing anything----NOW, this is a male-chauvinist idea which the feminists oppose.....WHAT AN IRONY!

[Mark my words.....If this woman is found guilty....the sentence she will get....will definitely be lesser than any man got for the same charge previously.]

Male chauvinism is more advantageous to women than men.

I know all that perfectly well. And I know he wasn't being serious in the suggestion. I was merely pointing the fact that calls for stoning, even in jest have not been made in previous instances where the perpetrators have been men. Men do tend to get more heated when a woman is the perp, for the reason you mentioned - that women are assumed to be incapable of that.

And yes, women often get a more lenient punishment, in fact that is an established precedent in Indian law courts. That too is a result of sexism and I deplore that.

That last sentence of yours is not true in general, although it is true in the particular case of quantum of punishments handed out by courts.

ADDED LATER: Actually, from his next post (the one above yours), it seems he WAS serious in suggesting stoning.

.
I am ok with punishment (any punishment, which law seems fit for her) as long as it works as determent for future Madhuris or joginder.

and moreover I am happy that finally counter-intelligence has started working..and bearing fruits too..

.
It is not unusual for Intel agencies to engage a potential recruit in innocent/easy tasks initially, and gradually rope her/him in. Wonder how romantic could a 53 yr old S Asian be? Although heart has its reasons reasons too.

lol I think ..she is caught before she can do actual damage to the nation..and regarding romantic angle "Dil to baccha hai g"...honeytrap at its best. I am pittying the young ISI officer who has to fake all the emotions for this fugly traitor aunty..
