Pegeot is coming to Gujarat.

Ford has already arrived in gujarat.

Bombardier has a huge plant in Baroda.(metro coach)

AMW trucks have their unit in Kutch.(Truck)

Toyota is planning a facility in gujarat.

Honda is coming to Gujarat

Hero is coming up with his 2 wheeler plant in Gujarat.(5th Plant).

Yamaha is contemplating a possibility in gujarat.

Bajaj is planning a car plant at Mundra.

Hundai may also come to Gujarat with Some condition.

It is possible that I might have missed some others.

Nope. You are the Dude who is lacking information. So read up on FACTS before writing something or the other!

You are talking about the future with that long list of yours; while I am speaking about what is already existent.
Just for example take the case of the area from Akurdi-Chinchwad-Talegaon-Chikli-Chakan-Ranjangaon-Nashik-Aurangabad in Maharashtra. The companies already existent there and producing from many years; include Tata, Mercedes-Benz, Chevrolet, Cummins, Volkswagen, Force, MAN, Mahindra and Mahindra, John Deere, Bajaj, Skoda and all of their associated ancilliaries.
All of this happened long before Modi was heard about. And incidentally it happened- not because of Politicians, but because of Industrialists and the then available infrastructure. Same story may get replicated in Gujarat in the future, just as the Auto clusters came up around Gurgaon and Manesar in Haryana, Pantnagar in UP and Pithampur in MP in the past.

No Captain Poppey . Most of projects I have quoted has Acquired the land got clearance and construction is underway.

Do you know that if Maruti comes to Gujarat, It will bring half of India's car production at gujarat. Modi certainly have a vision. It is never easy to convince these giant to relocate or start their new facility to a place other than the place where they are already established.

Modi pursued TATA and bring NANO to Gujrat. Modi was trying for that for a long time. All other followed the suit.

In FY14, exports of M&HD trucks grew by about 40 per cent at 16,709 units, while during the first quarter of present fiscal, it more than doubled to about 5,000 units (2400 units). These are excluding exports of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) as it doesn’t disclose monthly or quarterly sales.

There was Report.....Government is going to make Disc brake in 2wheeler and Air bag in cars Mandatory....:o:

. . .
About bloody time

Not really..... Disc brake is a luxury in India..... (i am talking about sub 125 cc vehicle) which is almost 84% of the total industry..... The power these bikes generates are between 8 to 10 BHP, and 130 mm drum brake is enough for them......

Almost every bike above 125 cc is fitted with a Disc brake......

WTF ARE YOU BLABBERING ABOUT; Charlie? Do you even know which Indian Auto manufacturers have plants in Pantnagar?
What relevance does your post have to this thread, or the discussion.
And don't come up with pictures of a Model T Ford now.

While what you speak about is true; there are other reasons too for fitting disc-brakes which is less technical in nature. That reason is branding or positioning. Disc-brakes have an up-market feel about them, so manufacturers are fitting them more extensively. Ditto for alloy wheels. Earlier Sub-Compacts and Compacts never had alloys fitted on them. Now they are increasingly so; for the same reason.
And imagine; bicycles never had disc-brakes on them. Now even they do. Not because of power, but because users are willing to pay extra for their efficiency. And it looks "cool" besides.

While agreeing to you on most of the above points, my point was only to sub 125 cc's. There is another safety aspects to it. Scooter industry in India is growing above 10% where as motor cycle is de growing, and the trend is likely to continue as the customers are looking for convenience..... And who uses this scooters, The entire family, and Disc brakes have its safety issues, as the efficiency is much higher than that of a normal drum brake.....With scooters having smaller wheels it is not going to be safe.... Especially when an inexperienced driver uses it..... To reduce the risk, manufacturers reduces the disc size, and by that you reduces the braking efficiency.....
