You are really showing your
gentlemanship and
class. Contrary to your words, you do not fit these criterion.
Do you think that people are actually accommodating [like that] in that kind of situation?

Assuming that my family is in the picture; I would try to save my family members [FIRST] and then myself [AFTER] in that kind of situation. I would be hardly in the position to think about others and neither I expect strangers to give a damn about my life or that of my family members [male or female]. I am not an idealistic fool.

Do you think that men are expendable? That their loss has no implications for their families?
What is the point of having a woman who is actually OK with loosing you in a dire situation? We try to save each other or die together. I will definitely prioritize safety of my woman in a dire situation but I am sure that she would not want me to commit suicide for strangers who don't care about me (and her).
My point is that there is no easy answer for these kind of questions. Life of every human being has value in my eyes but I am not an idealistic fool.
What makes you think that there is no comparison to begin with? Women are just as capable as men in many aspects of life. Your assumption is misplaced, if you think otherwise.
If by "fragile ego," you presume that I value my life as much as that of a woman? I am glad about it. I am being realistic and honest in my views, not trying to garner praise from White Knights with idealistic talk. People love to talk big but fall short in practice.
Subjective nonsense.
Is this a joke?
I am fine with equality (of opportunity) for women in all fields/professions. In-fact, a 'working woman' is a greater asset than the one who sits at home and depends entirely on a man to handle her expenses - not a feasible arrangement under the prevalent socio-economic circumstances for many families, I'm afraid.
Women [desire] equality (of opportunity) in all fields/professions
themselves - why you berating me for this?
- Women wanted to join the army? State (and their family members) let them.
- Women wanted to join the mining industry? State (and their family members) let them.
- Women wanted to join the Fire Fighting Brigade? State (and their family members) let them.
- Women wanted to become an astronaut? State (and their family members) let them.
- Women wanted to climb mountains? State (and their family members) let them.
I cannot control the actions of state and neither I am in the position to dictate women [in general] in regards to choice of professions.
Please spare me the lecture on manners when you are the culprit here. You took a jab at me first [refer to post # 130 in this thread].
I attempted to address your misconception in post # 151 in good faith (see above) but you overlooked it and continued on the track of personal jabs.
You need to see the mirror.
Yes.

You would know if you had been observing developments carefully; you are only good at taking jabs however.

They need to act.
This is funny.
Last time I checked, I wasn't complaining about women working in offices dominated by male staff. You on the other hand...
Did it ever occur to you that your assessment could be faulty or shortsighted and that your jabs are unnecessary? I suppose not.
You [think] your observations are flawless and you have greater experience - but you are clearly misinformed and shortsighted.
You stooped low - not me. Don't blame me.
