Lucky I wasn't raped and murdered: Read Haryana IAS officer's daughter's harrowing tale

I get it where youre coming from. I understand you are young and your blodd is boiling. It will all settle down in due time. Once you become a father of two daughters and a Boy it will settle down and then you will understand my point. Good evening
This is your fatherly instincts talking, good Sir.

You [instinctively] feel the need to PROTECT your daughters from harm; I can understand this. I also understand that females are likely to experience some sort of harassment at some point in life and you feel responsible.

However, does it ever occur to you that your son might also have experienced harassment at some point in life? From other men or boys? Most probably, he kept quiet about it.

I am sorry but life is hard for all - not only for women. Men experience lot of problems [as well] and are even mentally conditioned to take on the challenges like a man and lay down their lives for the state, should the need arise. Are men expendable?

You need to instill confidence in your daughters and believe in them at some point. The reason why boys happen to be so confident on average is because parents tend to condition them like that but tend to be very protective about their daughters.

I am old enough to have seen it all, good Sir. I don't buy silly Feminist narratives anymore.

Ofc, You dont expect my daughter to remian weak and vulnerable do you ?
It will improve IN SHA ALLAH

I want her and all women in Pakistan to be strong and tough and I want the men to treat women as their equal human being .

. .
This is a sweeping generalization. Many women have access to education and jobs across Pakistan and a huge chunk of Pakistani population is now urban. In Punjab University alone, females have outnumbered males in strength recently which surprised me.

In-fact, I have seen women quitting their jobs after marriage because it is really hard to balance career with family life. It is relatively easy for men to work because they are not burdened with the matters of motherhood.

And what is wrong with being obedient to your husband, brother, or father? A woman should respect these relations.

Nothing wrong with being respectful and obedient to your father or brother but a woman should take their life important decisions themselves . A woman should not let her life be affected negatively just cause of the decisions of her male .

They should take the positive advices and decisions from their male guardian but if the male is being oppressive and killing her rights then the hell with such people , this narrative has to change . Every person is responsible and controller of their lives and no male is allowed to give own decision for the women .

.
Cool.

So what is your "theory" regarding this "fake" case ?

I think we would all love to hear it, you know, since you weren't born yesterday.

Theory behind this also come out like in the much hyped Nisha Sharma case .

LOL.....so she "faked" the whole thing because she wanted to marry her boyfriend ?

So why is the CCTV footage missing ?

The fact that you took this to directio shows that it only attacked your fragile male ego and nothing else.

Let me ask you a question a simple one. When a ship is sinking who gets the priority to moved to safety first ?
Choices goes like this, Old, MEN, Kid, Woman, Pets. Just tell me who goes last and why

I do not condone oppression and abuse, I assure you.

However, I have observed that "women-rights" talk tend to be too idealistic, and not realistic.

Of-course, a woman should not be forced to do something she doesn't wants to and should have a say in matters that affect her life. However, seeking advice from relatively more experienced members of the family [male or female] is always beneficial.

Please understand that some people can be violent and/or oppressive due to personality disorder and/or inherited genes [people is the key word - not men in particular]. No need to generalize about men for abhorrent incidents.

Both men and women can be victims of incidents and/or violence.

If women desire equality, they need to come to terms with struggles of men in life and give them the nod they deserve for it. I am sure that many women will be reciprocated in kind. Making every thing "women-rights" specific helps nobody.

My fragile male ego? Talk to me in this manner and you will risk loosing my respect.

The bottom is a patriarchal construct - the very ideology that Feminists despise.

True equality favors no gender - keep this fact in your fragile mind. Anybody who gets to the boat first, deserves to sit on it (male or female).

Perhaps that is why men are what they are. Sticking to the topic of male dominating society question you asked. So would you be confident enough that some lady, your sister or mother going out from house to work in a normal office where men totally outnumber ladies as pretty safe ? Since you do not consider pakistan make dominating society

I see ..... so your "theory" is that the Father is pimping out his daughter to Hooda ?

WOW ... you did not even have the b@lls to reply to me, instead you chose to thank my post.

By that same logic, why can't I assume that those guys were harassing the girl to force her father to do some illegal and corrupt acts ?

Maybe they planned to kidnap that girl and force her IAS father into corruption ? :coffee: This means BJP indulges in Kidnap and rape just to blackmail IAS officers into corruption.

What is good for the goose, should be good for the gander too, No ?

My wife is a working-women. And I have absolute confidence in her to carry herself very well in a profession.

Answer the question first. My fears with ypure indeed coming alive i Am afraid
You need to carry this discussion like an adult, not take jabs at me. Understand?

I am not supposed to patronize your views, blindly.

I am being very respectful to you but you need to watch your language.
