Lt Gen (r) Kidwai warns India not to take Pakistan's nuclear capability as a 'bluff'

Modi stopped the skirmish with a missile strike threat. India was controlling the escalation ladders. IK buckled and released Abhi.

What about Aug5 as a counterattack? India made Pak irrelevant in IOK.

Of course Pak’s nuke bluff called by India. But Pak reputation as an irresponsible nuke state is a concern to the world.

Is is really sad to see IK reduced to a cartoon. I had lots of respect for him as a cricketer.

I have nothing to do with RSS

Please RSS nigga. Spare us your BS sermons. LOL at strike. A strike against trees you mean.

You got nothing except cheap lies. Get back to killing Dalits and stripping Indian Muslims from their citizenship.

That was nuclear blackmail by Musharraf. Kargil was the most dumbest move by Pak military trying to pass regulars as mujahideen and engaging in a military conflict under nuclear overhang. This painted Pak as an irresponsible nuke state. Adding to that AQ Khan selling nuke stuff to unstable nations ensured Pak cannot be trusted with nukes.

this is amazing .. lol ... day light whooping of IAF ?? india didnt, pakistan held the escalation ladder and india buckled ... fools paradise

1948 > India was 11 times larger than Pakistan, still could not defeat Pakistan. (as a new country Pakistan had no money, nor its share of weapons)

1965 > India was 9 times larger than Pakistan, still could not defeat Pakistan. (Pakistan was put under sanctions, but India still received weapons from the Soviets)

1971 > India was 9 times larger than Pakistan, still could not achieve victory in West Pakistan. (Pakistan was still under sanctions, but India had the full backing of the Soviet Union.)
(What happened in Bangladesh is a more complicated story and has to be viewed holistically. Once a local population decides against you, nothing can be done. Look at America in Vietnam and Soviets in Afghanistan, both were the most powerful countries in the world at the time.)

1999 > Results only came after India went crying to America and they along with China forced Pakistan to pull back.
2002 > Full deployment for nearly one year, killed over 1000 over its own soldiers, just to pull back.

SPD head many heads but this guy is quite popular in international circles and those interested in learning about our nuclear program. Any reason why ???

He served the longest and dedicated himself to SPD and its evolution. He also had prior experience with strategic organizations and had an academic aptitude for nuclear strategy making as well. Thus, he had better communication skills relating to nuclear deterrence and able to engage with Western think-tanks (and still is). Needless to say, the present trajectory of Pakistan's nuclear weapons programme was put in place during his tenure. All of this has made him stand out from his peers.

I think they mean Brig (R) NAEEM Ahmed Salik.

You didn't grasp the thrust of the argument .

You were a declared nuke power yet Pakistan came deep inside your controlled territory camped there for months, killed thousands of Indian soldiers. So basically India nuke power status never deterred Pakistan, hence Indian deterrence failed back in 1999, and here you are making tall claims about challenging Pakistani deterrence on a mere event which was by all account a failure with outcome of few trees destroyed and a dead crow!!

Pak has time and again proved it will go any extent to physically get hold of IOK. World rightfully distrust Pak with nukes.

Again you are going in tangent. That was not the argument. Stay focus in your replies.

The issue at hand is the control of nukes by religious and imbalance fanatics. The "civilized world" have been making its case against Pakistan all these years, while in reality, its the Indian nukes which are now in firm control of Hindu fanatics. This is the ground reality and fact.

Yours a very confused muddled argument. 1998 both India and Pak explode nukes. 1999 by pure madness and underhandedness Pak takes hold of Indian territory which is left undefended during winter. Very irresponsible move by a aspiring nuke power. We all know how it ended.

2019 India bombs Pak sovereign territory. You have to be an Indian to know the feeling. India had brought its entire army to the border and deescalated twice before this. Because the previous 2 times nuke deterrence held firm allowing Pak to continue creating issues in IOK. Not anymore. 26Feb is a watershed moment in the subcontinent.

Are you afraid Modi will use the nukes on Pak?

Confusion is in your mind. You simply ignoring the ground realities and facts from history.

Look, 1999 proved that Indian nukes didn't deter Pakistan to launch its military operations inside Indian controlled territory. Indian deterrence is already a failure since 1999! The result and claims of victory by both sides do not matter ,what matter is that Indian deterrence simple didn't work. If Pakistan was afraid of Indian nukes, it wouldn't have gone inside Indian territory and hold it for months isn't it?

Feb 2019 should be taken a utter humiliation for India and its establishment. God know what you lot are celebrating , the shooting down and parading for your pilot or a own kill of mi17? And then small matter of Su30 blown out of sky and Indian army chief barrack getting pinged by Pakistani SOWs.

If we are not afraid of Indian nukes (proven during Kargil operation), what Modi or anyone else for that matter got anything to do with it?

Indians are always pleading that we should be fearful and scared of their might.:lol::lol:

You are ignorant and just making shyte up as you go. Let me take you through one more time. This time very slowly.

-India is the status quo power in J&K.
- Indians couldn’t care less if Pak army becomes double the size of what it is today, became the largest nuke power in the world or just rolled over and died. Indians just want Pak to keep its busy hands off IOK.
- India has steadfastly since 1948 kept world’s undue attention away from IOK. It has maintained this despite serious provocation from Pak and heavy loss of life through militancy.
- Pak after overtly conducting nuke explosions in 1998 in a very underhanded way created the Kargil crisis in 1999 by occupying vacated Indian military posts during winter under nuclear overhang. Main purpose of this craziness from Musharraf was to create an untenable situation for India and force international intervention in Kashmir. This nuclear blackmail is even more deplorable considering Kargil operation was underway when prime minister of India was in Pak on a peace seeking mission.
- Pak had not fully thought through its Kargil misadventure consequences. Neither did it foresee the overwhelming force used by India.
- Kargil is one of the biggest mistakes committed by Pak so far. It lost face. Forced to withdraw from occupied peaks. US ditched Pak unceremoniously. Branded an irresponsible nuke state. AQ Khan episode reinforced this.
- Pak was probably inches away from being declared a terrorist nation before 9/11 happened.
- Kargil was not about nuclear deterrence, it was all about Pak’s nuclear blackmail.

Feb26 is a game changer for India. It broke its self imposed shackles and initiated kinetic action. Bombed Pak sovereign territory. This permanently alters Pak behaviour in IOK. Pak was getting away with murder, not anymore.

Again Pak was totally unprepared for Aug5. Not in its wildest dreams it anticipated India will annex IOK always assuming India will never internationalise Kashmir issue the way it did. Even today Pak has no coherent plan to counter india’s move in Aug5.

Dumb Indian, cant you read and understand the basics?

Your initial rants were:

The nuclear deterrence ship sailed on 26 Feb. There is no going back.

This is what you wrote.

I have already debunked your non sense by giving you example from history that how Indian nuke deterrence was smashed by Pakistan WAY BACK in 1999 when it conducted kargil operation over Indian controlled territory, giving two finger salute to Indian status as nuke power, throughout the operation which lasted months, FOUGHT ON INDIAN CONTROLLED territory, not once India manage to threaten Pakistan with nukes.

You using Feb skirmished as calling out Pakistani nuke deterrence is laughable. Droping some stand off weapons on hills is called calling out nuclear deterrence? Pakistan and India trade gun and mortar fire every day at each other soil on LOC. How does this even come close of what Pakistan did to India during 1999 Kargil operation? And what about Pakistani response on 27th during bright daylight? How does it stack and tell us about the effectiveness of Indian nuke deterrence?

What you should know and tell your lot that The nuclear deterrence ship sailed in 1999. Pakistan give two finger salute to Indian status as nuke power, a fact that was demonstrated on the morning of 27th Feb as well.
