Not even read the history of those Generals were they really left a bloody scar in history or were they self conceded etc etc ...its a long debate ...but quoting such people is fashion ...not related to the logic they present to the public.

these don't mean anything even if they stay quite for 1-2 years it will not mean anything...there needs to be a systematic change within the core of the military so that they understand the principle of civilian supremacy! other than that these changes or any other doesn`t mean a thing! as long as the mindset doesn`t change!

ISI is a beast which needs much more though process. But definitely, ISI Chief needs to go, and Dirty Harry needs to be made an example of or send to some remote post.

You make it sound like ISI operates on its own. It does not. It gets guidance from the national leadership. If used properly, ISI has been a strategic asset for Pakistan, if not then it is no different than muhallay ka chowkidar. Choice is up to our leaders and mil leadership how they intend to employ this asset. The DGI and his charges follow order. We should keep this in mind.

We should have oversight over the ISI, no disagreement there.

The fact that he has been posted to V Corps (if the news is accurate) is further validation that he has been sent to command one of the largest (second only to I Corps, Mangla) and most strategic corps in the Pakistan Army.

Not only ISI, RAW, CIA, etc. these are all beasts. But as you pointed out, these agencies need proper oversight, and they need to be answerable. The problem I have is when a agency like ISI take orders which they clearly know are illegal, such as those from Bajwa, were clearly extra Judicial and massive human rights violations. To still go ahead with such orders rather than refusing to proceed under the relevant army acts which clearly point to such a situation where a superior gives illegal order and the subordinate refuses to obey.

Hopefully, the new COAS was an ISI Chief himself before being replaced with Faiz Hameed. I am sure he knows how to tackle the beast.
