Indians built bunkers all along LAC and Sikkim border and China responded with roads. India decided to take advantage of Bhutan control to put troops into China side of border saying it was helping Bhutan, trying to curb China's roads. The adventure did not work as Indian Army unilaterally retreated and China publicly declared no concessions given to India on anything. Many Indians think dirty squatters delaying China road construction for two months before unilateral retreat is some kind of shupa powa victory!
