What's new

Looking at Younis Khan's smile and Misbah's turtle batting..something fishy

I just don't appreciate cricket based diplomacy - its a competitive game , if you wanted diplomacy do it after 1-2 months , not at the day of an important match

Just feel that perhaps the gov went in talked to these two senior players and asked them to just "understand" the situation that going to Mumbai might cause problems diplomatically so they just cooperated.

Shahid /Umar and others were not in on it but I strongly feel Misbah / Younis had their hand , and also the person who calls the power play back in dressing room

I have never seen such act of deliberate , refusal to take singles and doubles specially from Misbah I mean 20-30 runs he stuttered not only himself but he tried to get the other batsmen runout he is with bookies or something

I mean poor Asad Safiq , kept asking him to take runs, and every time he would stop - stutter , stop , and refuse to take run say NO ... when the ball is all the way to the boundries ??? I mean his assets should be evaluated for bookies money, and he did the same also with Umar Akmal as well

In end , when he was 100% sure match is out of reach he went on to make his 50 so no one would blame him or that his position in team would be in doubt

Also is it a coincidence that one is an ex-captain , and the other is also an ex- captain who was axed just before the tournament ?

I mean Younis I mean he played as if he was , Danish Kaneria he did not even look like a batsmen who had scored 200 runs in India , he just went in wasted balls 20-30 balls wasted and then he packed his backs what other way you could ensure that bookies won their bets!!! You just go in and don't score runs its simple and effective way to sabotage the game.

If Misbah had to make his 50 he could have done it earlier , meaing 10-14 overs were left for Umar Akmal , Afridi , Razzaq + tail to play and only 70 odd runs to get in 10 overs...

But he wasted all the balls and in the end decided to just pretend to be playing obviously after the game was over.

Even Rameez Raja stated I have no idea what kind of inning is this Misbah playing ... he said it out right in the commentary and mocked him rightfully so ...

It was almost like , we were driving seat , and then Misbah/Younis came in they lifted their foots off the gas for 1 hour ... playing calmly as if they are just practicing , and when Younis noticed its 40-50 minutes , time wasted and Gilani and Manmohan have finally gone to start negotiations in dinner , he calmly gifted his wicket away ...

Singles and doubles is bread an butter to test players
- and these guys played 10 overs , between them where they took dot balls , and the field was not even set up closely they had miles wide gaps all over the field as ppl were standing in boundries ....

Even in the interview Shahid Afridi stated quietly , well I know Misbah probbly did not intended to bat that way but it "happened" obviously he is also shocked at his odd style of batting

And what is happening to the Opening players???

Well of course Kamran Akmal will be gone and his brother will take over , family business bana diya hai

Either way you look at it Misbah + Younis played 10 overs dot balls , and remove Mibah's nonesense runs in end , you could count - the balls they wasted it is 10 overs !!! 60 balls wasted ...

Plus if you count Misbah's stuttering where he caused other players to register dot ball hits must be at least 20 odd runs that were not taken -

This guy was doing something in his , and he was on his own agenda

If I consider everything true, what kind of country is Pakistan, where government can decide anything wow.

Pakistani Team Lost Purposely :eek::undecided: :eek::undecided:

Exclusive Article

Pakistan’s cricket team could have easily won the semi final against India but purposely lost because of the backdoor intrigues. There was no need to garland a captain who knew that the team has brought slur to Pakistan and utter depression and desopondecy to millions cricket fans from Pakistan and elsewhere, infused with a bubbling spirit of nationalism. This was the fifth consecutive defeat of the Pakistani cricket team at the hands of the Indian team in World Cup matches. What an odious shame?

It was categorically easy to chase the meager 260 runs scored by Indian team, all the more when national honor was at stake. There have been visible flaws and deliberate lapses committed by the Pakistani players that turned the tide in favor of the Indian team.

I would start building up my argument in support my contention by quoting the arch intriguer Rehman Malik’s sudden telephone calls to the captain of the Pakistani team Shahid Khan Afridi. His statement issued, before the departure of the team for India, was pregnant with a hidden threat that implied that it would be better to lose than win. Later while our team was in India he talked three times on phone to Shahid Afridi which the captain labeled as untimely.

Mr. Malik’s this uncalled for statement made while the team was still in Pakistan, was nationally condemned as ominous and perceived as a kind of spanner to dampen the spirits of the team. Mr. Malik has earned for himself the role of a person who never means what he says. But in this case he was dam serious of hurling a veiled threat to the Pakistani team.

His statement might have two underlying objectives. He meant, “Look we are going to have uniquely crucial parleys with the Indian leadership and we would like to keep the Indians and their government in good humor. If we win the game we lose the positive results that could accrue from the meeting.”

Secondly, he might have conveyed that, “you are going to play on the Indian soil and in case you win you could become the target by flared up and enraged Indians.” It should be recalled that on march 3, 2009, the Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked in Pakistan by the terrorists and that was the most appalling event in sports history after the Palestinians massacred the Jewish team in 1972 world Olympics held in Germany.

Let us now focus on the technical contours of the game. Imran Akmal was as dysfunctional as he has been in previous matches reinforcing the suspicion that he has compromised his game ethics for some ulterior motives that are already well known. It is reported that despite Afridi’s reluctance to include him in the team, he was overruled by the Chairman of the PCB and therefore was imposed upon the team. And look how disappointingly he played and kept his honor and that of the country at stake and finally trampled at the play ground.

There is no harm in assessing that Misbahul Haq was goaded in advance to go slow and waste the precious overs by not hitting even the most pliable ball. If there is any mechanism to verify this apprehension, the truth will come out. Why Abdul Razzaq, otherwise a brilliant and aggressive player put up a very poor and gloomy performance both in balling and batting. There couldn’t be any earthly reason the way he was sluggish and looked clumsy in performing in his dual role.

And there are comments that the power play which could have turned the match in favor of the Pakistani team was not sought at the outset of the Afridi’s stepping into the arena. When it was solicited it was too late and the damage had already been done.

Imran Khan an accomplished cricketer who has the distinction of being the skipper of the team that won the first ever world cup in 1992, argues that with the “worst kind of fielding that the Pakistani team displayed, no team could have won.”

Distastefully the politicians, the bookies, the gamblers and intentional stake holders have infiltrated into the world of sports and it is they who write the script, choreograph the games especially the cricket and decide who should win and which side should lose. But the only team whose players have remained as an easy prey to the trappings of the huge money was mostly Pakistani. Recently, three of Pakistan’s ace players have been awarded fines and bans imposed on their playing for long periods of time. The charges against them are as crystal clear as the 1000 watt bulb lighted in the small dark cubicle.

So with this backlog of bad reputation there is very little benefit of doubt that can be given to the Pakistani team that played in Mohali Punjab and brought for Pakistan a disgrace and shame that in minuscule proportion is equal to the surrender of Pakistan’s valiant army in Palton Maidan in December 16, 1971 to the Indian army.

Now defeat is defeat and it is most of the times humiliating. There is no pride attached to defeat as the circles and various lobbies are trying to portray it as such. Pakistan cricket team’s defeat at the hands of a traditional rival India for the fifth time is not matter to rejoice or self complimenting. It is to lament and grieve. If a defeat unites the nation as being interpreted, then no difference or distance is left between sanity and delusion.

Waiting for four years to avenge this defeat? Is anyone among the crowd of self consolers to presage with absolute certainly that Pakistan would be winning then? Our money loving players will again fall prey to the irresistible monetary temptations and thus the hope and expectations pinned on the next world cup in 2015, would fall apart again.

It is the present that matters. In a similar situation, Mirza Ghalib the eternal poet said in sheer despondency, “Kaun Jeeta Hay Teri Zulf Kay Sar Honay Tak”. It nearest rendering in English is, “Who can claim to live until the time of surmounting your lock ( tuft of beloved’s hair).” Nevertheless, May God bless our gullible nation eternally with his bounties and blessings.

wow i have never seen a more pathetic bunch of sore losers.

Well,

Its hard to believe for especially indian and for other too as well, that this match was fixed by our leaders.

The way things are clearing up is this is the deal

Akmal is retained in team , because he has gang connections , underworld mafia - and match fixers - these same guys have connections in PCB itself.
which is why he is retained.

As Zulqarnain (Wicket Keeper) stated , he was forced out these thugs in national team , players and then their "Care Takers" in selector role and heads
are all controlled because they are the ones that select them after countless failiures.

Secondly , Afridi opposed inclusion of Kamran Akmal , but as a means to pressure him PCB gangsters , (did not choose a captain till last few hours)
bahi ... BLACKmail bhi to kerna pertai hai PCB main!!!!! So these thugs , planted these match fixers in the team

a) Kamran Gangsta
b) Younis Khan
c) Misbah

These three guys get planted in the team ... yes planted becasue they were origionally all Kicked out !!! But mysteriously brought back ... by will of Gangsters , bookies and of cours PCB itself.

why this drama was played who will be captain before world cup ?? of course to force captains to take "gangsta" players

My question to dear friends is

a) Did we not have Mohammad Yousif ? A better player suited for ODI ?
b) Did we not have U19 classy players ? who won the world cup or reached its finals?

But PCB insisted these 3 be on the plane ....

We could have used 3 batsmen who play in Pakistani Local Leagues.

Zulqarnain (Wicket Keeper)

Shoaib Malik (Who I think Afridi really wanted for his team but he was over ruled I mean the captain over ruled)
PCB planted Younis Khan in team

Junaid Khan (Bowler choosen by Mohsin khan , he did not even play a single game!!! why PCB gangsters)

Where is Nazir
ImranNazir.jpg

He played in India ??

Fuad Alam a solid 1 down player plays with intensity

What are they grooming our Young players for ??? which tournament or cup ??
Fuad alam a genuine fighter player , and Imran Nazir and ideal partner to Haffez ... or the Tall stroke player in Zulqarnain??

Oh let me guess , Kamran akmal ka chacha can field .. so he will be coming to be the opener

zulqernain going out, amir and asif going out and salman butt going out, surely world cup was not ours, half of our team got fked out???

any news coming of westindies tour, it would be surprising to see a new team

there is one thing i can say" i pity the pakistan cricket team"
before the match their minister shames them by telling the news channels openly that he had warned them about match fixing and after the match pakistans citizens accuse them of match fixing...is being a pakistani cricketer( and playing for your country) such a crime

I read some PCB official is insisting to include , his son -in law into pakistani opening that same guy that only makes 20 runs the same guy who failed along side Salman butt for 10 years !!!
and that Kamran Akmal will be "rested" and his brother Adnan Akmal will go ....

I mean yar ... yeah kiya family business bana ker rakh diya hai kiya poore Pakistan mein we got only Kamran Akmal and his brothers ??

We have 3 million cricketers at least

All these match fixers in our team , if it was not for Afridi's individual briliance in bowling we would have lost also to Canada

Younis catch drop cost us semi final 20/20

Younis catch drop in semi cost us ODI world cup

May be he thought no one was watching , in the video you can see he starts to act serious after he throws but you can see he was clearly smiling
