Jaishankar gave up on the old Indian LAC. He will let the Indian Army negotiate a mutual disengagement based on the Chinese Claim Line (just like in Galwan Valley). Indian Army will never do that. But Indian Army can't wait until November either because winter comes and they don't have the infrastructure to forward deploy throughout the winter. So Indian Army has no choice but to launch a hopeless and desperate attack before November. The very minimal they will aim for is to gain some positions protecting their Depsang-DBO road. If that fails, after November, the Indian Army will back off and let Indian Air Force try to save face for India with vengeance air strikes. Then we are looking at air war over the winter that will eventually expand to air war over Delhi.
