I think it's pretty silly. Every few years anti ship missile double in range. But it's the airbases that are the most vulnerable. Strategic bombers still need airbase which can be attacked by cruise missiles.

AGM-158C LRASM have a structure and size which make it possible for each long-range bomber to carry it in large numbers (swarm attack opportunity), and even fighter jets can be armed with this LRSAM.

This kind of operational flexibility along with cutting-edge capabilities of the ASCM in question, make it a deadly force in the hands of USAF and USN because too many assets can be armed these for a battlespace.

AGM-158C LRASM is designed in a manner that each long-range bomber can carry this LRSAM in large numbers (swarm attack opportunity), and even fighter jets can be armed with this LRSAM.

Lot of room in there, to be honest.

This kind of operational flexibility along with cutting-edge capabilities of LRSAM, make it a deadly offensive force in the hands of USAF and USN.

I came to know about YJ-100 some time ago and also went through a Chinese discussion in which members claimed that YJ-100 is 1000km capable and due to some issue full range is not disclosed and longer range AShM is under development, will share if came across about it.
