Lockheed Martin Offers To Manufacture Over 400 F-16 Aircraft In Indian Facility

Most problematic of USA weapons are the end use clause...that's why IAF not going to pick f 16 in amca deal..I think rafale will get the deal...as it passed all previous standards set by govt...USA just trying to save f 16 plant running by offering the billion dollar plane to India.

Time to move on. F86 were excellent..mm alam 5 kills in a minute but we had to retire them. Time to move on from f16

f-16's are not going anywhere until 2030 , so instead of getting rid of them when we have no other fighter to replace it , so best option for now is to get remaining 18 Block52 and try to get 14+2 F-16 block 15 from Jordan , which can be MLU'ed from Turkey .

First get your helicopter. They put it in stores

we'll get them sooner or later.. if not nothing to lose here .

Why don't produce 200 crore F16s in India? 1 eff sola for every pajeet & pajeetri to invade PakiStan. :D
pajeet:D:D:D

Yep, but only with 100% unconditional TOT, else they are free to find any other country for their almost obsolete bird assembly line. :bunny::bunny::bunny:
kuch dolloes bhi le lete

This is propaganda of Indian airforce just to get more fighter ,
They plays low to create panic in media to convince nation about more fighter deals.
Pajeet ko china se bhi khatra hai bhaijaan.

You are well come to manufacture but do not insist us to buy F 16. We do not need it. We need Rafale or Grippen or Eurofighter.

After the Rafale scam there is no scope for more Rafales.

Grippen is non starter due to American Engine. US would not support Grippen at the expense of a US fighter.

IAF does not want Russian fighers. SU-35 or MIG-35s are out.

So the real fight is between F-16 and Eurofighters

India can get 3 F-16 Block 70 for the price of 1 Eurofighter

The choice is obvious. The only question would be how hard would be the CAATSA sanctions on India.

The Bahraini deal did not have any restrictions. The retired PAF pilots will not have an issue with that. They got civilian IPs from US and even one guy from Zimbabwe instructing there.
Whoever money can get?

Nope. Whoever experience they want so they rely less on foreigners in the future. The expression that Grumman used on the Iranian F-14 program was that "we were getting ourselves out of the job" as the IIAF at that time became capable of having their own IPs.
