Lockheed Martin bags deal to supply laser-guided bombs to IAF

India is trying to catch up fast with some certain countries this is good news for the rest of the world as well, already India and the US military's conduct massive exercises, I think Indian-US have the most military exercises of any country? It shows the amount of respect between the two military's.

@sancho and mautkimaut,
Buddies,any LGB kit can be fitted with any free fall gravity bomb-be it a bb or an air bursting doesn't matter and Pave way II or Sudarshan both are LGB kits;not bombs.In this case the Paveway guidance kit is fitted with most probably Mk 83 1000 lb or Mk84 2000 lb bombs.Even the Sudarshan LGB kit can be fitted with GBU if US allows.So your comment "these are bunker buster bombs, SUdarshan is a LGB kit,

Bunker Buster bombs are different then normal LGB kit added to dumb bombs" is totally wrong. Both are LGB kits and can be fitted with any gravity bombs.....................................

That's not correct mate! Of course both are LGB kits, but the bomb in this case is not a normal MK83 or 84 bomb, but a special penetration bomb, like the BLU 109:

BLU-109 bomb

The BLU-109/B is a hardened penetration bomb used by the United States Air Force (BLU is an acronym for Bomb Live Unit). As other "bunker busters", it is intended to smash through concrete shelters and other hardened structures before exploding...

...Design

The BLU-109/B has a steel casing about 1 inch (25.4 mm) thick, filled with 530 lb (240 kg) of Tritonal. It has a delayed-action tail-fuze

That's why this bomb can be used with a Paveway LGB kit or with a JDAM GPS guided kit as well:

YEAH,SORRY for my mistake mate.But I was just giving an example.Look what mautkimaut told.I just wanted to say that there is no differance of working principle between Sudarshan and Paveway II.Sudarshan can very well be used with Mk 83/Mk 84/BLU (offcourse 109 if US allows).
