I'm copying word to word a question from the NA Question Session of April 2, 2010.
228. *Ms. Sabeen Rizvi:
Will the Minister for Defence be pleased to state:
(a) the name of bomb detecting equipments installed in the Airports
in the country at present alongwith the name of those Airports;
(b) whether the suitability and performance of those devices are upto
the required standard;
(c) if the reply to part (b) is in the negative, whether there is any
proposal to replace those devices with the sophisticated
equipments of required standard?
Minister for Defence (Ch. Ahmed Mukhtar):
(a) Three types of explosive detectors i.e. Quantum Sniffer, Sniffex and Khojee (developed by ASF at its own) have been provided at the airports. The name of airports where these have been provided are Peshawar, JIAP Karachi, AIIAP Lahore, BBIA, Islamabad, Quetta, Dalbandi, Zhob, Sukkur, Turbat, Gwadar, Panjgur, Multan, Faisalabad and D.I.Khan. At the less used and smaller airports, other electronic metal detectors, electronic screening devices and manual checks an carried out. In additional to this Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has installed electronic surveillance systems to check for any illegal activity. This is supplemented by CCTV coverage of all major areas within and outside the buildings.

I'm curious about this "Khojee" device? Anybody have any picture of it? Did POF develop it or did a third party company develop it?
