I saw a video of Jinnah (YT)yesterday where he demanded just 1/4th of India as Pakistan and wanted brotherly relations like USA-Canada. Where things went wrong?

Thats what Jinnah wanted cordial and brotherly relations, but Hindu establishment wanted to rule the whole region, Congress had its own designs to suppress muslims in particular in the region and regain their pre-historic empire of chandragupta maurya from Burma to Afghanistan. they still argue that Muslims are outsiders. they never truly accepted separate state for muslims, as they wanted to rule the whole region. so in particular question how things went wrong, they never expected Pakistan to survive more than 6 months, but we did and then they invaded Kashmir and things went on and on in wrong direction, and we never accepted their hegemony, nor will we ever do that !

May be they teach you wrong history but the reality is you invaded Kashmir without Kashmiris gave you any consent for joining. India went to Kashmir only after we got the instrument of accession.

Jinnah didnt live long enough to carry out that dream. And his successors weren't friendly. Besides, the partition itself was a cause of hatred, and multiple issues like border just added oil.

Jinha didn't lived long. There are some doubts over Jhina's death also. Some power Hungry eliments never allowed Pakistan to become a stable democracy. This is the first time that Pakistani Democratically elected government finished 5 year term. Pakistan army have last say in policy regarding India. But the Pakistan army fought 4 wars with India. On loss of every war, they become more and more obsessed with India. When ever Pakistan civil government tries to Improve relation with India, they create problem. When Nawaz sharif become prime minister recently and declared improving relation with India, Pakistan army immediately created problem on India border.

Violations are increasing by the Indian side day-by-day and are not limited to one sector. One wonders what could be the motive behind such acts. It cant be prelude to another war, since both nations are nuclear armed. What else can it be?... Two things:
1. An attempt to deplete ammo reserves on our forward operating bases along LOC
2. As those reserves deplete, more will arrive from the back. But it costs money to make bullets. Thus it can been seen as an attempt to cause financial strain on military's budget. Country's budget is already in turmoil but despite that, military's budget is somewhat fixed i.e. $ 6-7 billion. Since hurting the economy didnt really had a big impact on military budget (it has remained constant for some years), India is trying to affect the military budget. One asks, what would that achieve? ... It would limit Pakistan capability from acquiring newer platforms since all that money would have been spent making bullets and sending them to front lines.

Thus my appeal to our brave military men is: Retaliate all hits, but do so conservatively. Our enemy is a snake with hidden motives. Must take into affect all possible reasons for such violations. May God keep you under his protection. Pakistan Zindabad

But its not just that; its the prelude to "waar" in other words: War.
And you are right about your "snake" enemies. You have lots of those "snakes" around you; so many that now you will not be able to tell the "good snake" talibaans from the "bad snake" talibaans. So in the meanwhile try to sleep tight, but keep all the "snakes" carefully below your bed, preferably in a box.

unfortunately, india has its hegemonic designs, which it started right from the beginning, by occupying many states forcefully including Kashmir, they still mad and wish some epic empire to be re-established.



Congress is just poking their nose so that they can go to elections with some face, he who shows more hatred for Pakistan, wins elections in India.
