I think BJP has paid for advertising on Google! The advertisement area near the top of the page on Defence.pk has been consistently giving me the ad-

"LK Advani for PM"
"www.lkadvani.in" with the lotus symbol!

BJP ‘goes Urdu’ to woo Indian Muslims

NEW DELHI: In a bid to woo the Muslim voters, the Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate, Lal Krishna Advani, has put Urdu translations of excerpts from his book ‘My Country My Life’ on his personal website.

The excerpts cite Advani on the Babri Mosque demolition, and how he felt the December 6 incident could have been avoided.

Instead of placing the entire book on the website, those managing it preferred to mount only the Babri Mosque chapter under the title ‘Get to know Advaniji in Urdu’.

The BJP has constantly described it as a disputed ‘structure’ but the chapter put on the website lkadvani.in frankly describes it as ‘Babri Mosque’ and gives excerpts from the book in which Advani describes how he and other leaders saw a group of ‘karsevaks’ climbing atop the mosque and their numbers kept swelling despite repeated appeals to get down.

“Everyone felt that something wrong was happening. I was saddened and with difficulty I was able to speak. Don’t know who were these people and from where they came. They had taken the law in their hands,” says the quoted excerpt in Urdu. iftikhar gilani

He won't. He's no longer the firebrand leader of his youth. He's changed, and adopted a more secular attitude.

Maybe its just posturing, but something tells me that its a genuine mellowing with age.

advani and bjp don't have a issue to make a government- bjp agenda is always - what congress did is wrong.
one simple example is nuclear deal - whole world envy us for it - if you talk any pakistani official they will tell you how lucky India is to get such deal.
and in this age of development India dont want a government who runs on the issue such as religious difference between people.
problem with congress is that - its not being a good neighbor. we should atleast have one country around us who support us - we have surrounded enemy all around us.
but still congress is far better than BJP . the best will be if congress comes with full majority.

Having said that, Dr. Manmohan Singh and his team Chidambaram and Mukherjee have done a stellar job. I'm really proud to have Dr. Singh as my PM.
Unfortunately, apart from these few stars, the Congress has very little vision for the future, and it fails to inspire.

i think you forgot to point out one issue that is : leader - congress dont have someone who they can look up to, who can be straight forward prime minster, both the young gandi's are not capable to be prime minister, they just dont seem to have it in them. i seen some of rahul's speech in amethi, he really bored the hell outta me. and priyanaka she is too kind. as we saw what she said about women who assassinated her father.
i personally thin manmohan singh, and his team are way better than BJP, now again for some time bjp is having feud inside the party. and those weird story like that stolen money from their head office.

the forum of mr advani is hardly responding to the queries posted there, i think you people would want to do something about it.

give us an insight as to what does the NDA propose to do about the economic slow down. what is the plan of action.

I dont want Advani to be the PM simply because of his Flip Flops! I mean we get enough Flip Flops from the current Govt and Manmohan Singh is one of the best people to Lead the Country in the current Economic Situation. I think people should Vote for MMS and Congress! Better still, Rahul Gandhi can come into the fore soon and take up an Important Folio in the Ministry. This is what I personally feel.
