Live coverage: India’s Chandrayaan 2 moon mission counting down to liftoff

Well, the most experienced in that group is Russia. The International Space Station is I think mostly possible with Russia knowledge.

The Indian experience in manned missions at the moment is limited to the test of the miniature version of the capsule which is supposed to carry three cosmonauts. Two other things are being developed : the food and the suits. Please read this wiki.

So in my opinion we can all learn from having a common program. :)

Russian is on whole another level, they are on par in space exploration with the USA, their only constrain is their limited money. But hell they are very efficient in this kind of field.

@Goku , you said :

Not JAXA ( which is a Western agency, more or less ). Not CSA ( which has isolated itself ).

But I hope ISRO + SUPARCO + Roscosmos ( and Central Asia ) + Africa + South America + North Korea + Iran + West Asia ( including Israel and Palestine ) + Indonesia + Malaysia... I hope all these can have a single manned Mars program.

@Indos @rambro

ISRO and LAPAN (Indonesian space agency) has already made cooperation, so thats why all of LAPAN satellite were launched by Indian rocket.

BTW Congrats for India for moon mission, it is really a great achievement and I hope the mission can be successful. :tup:

Is there any website that gives the current live position of Chandrayaan 2 ?

I watched this movie Geostorm before knocking off on the flight back to India.

They show the US and China (no mention of Russia or the Europeans) as leading the effort to build satellites that save mankind.

And give India a guest cameo in the form of a solitary technician with the tricolour on his sleeve who hits upon the sinister plot and is then killed in deep space as the airlocks are made to malfunction and he's sucked into space.

And surprise ... his name is Mahmut.

What are the chances of that ....

Brown guys and their white fetish. Both sides of the frikkin border.

Cheers, Doc
