Liu Xiaobo wrong man for Nobel Peace Prize, say laureates

So long as China uses nuclear weapons on any country, be it India, Japan, Chinese Taipei or anybody, the United States would respond in kind. The Chinese arsenal is significantly smaller than the U.S.'s and if China gets caught up fighting a third country, the U.S. could easily take advantage of that and destroy it.
I doubt China would do it though. However that seems to be the opinion of every Chinese blogger on this site!
China's nuclear arsenal is quite enough to destroy all the major cities in both the United States and India. China has been a nuclear power since the 1960's. It has lots of time to build a huge arsenal of strategic nuclear weapons -- hundreds of strategic thermonuclear warheads.

There is absolutely no way the US come to India's rescue after China engages in a nuclear war with India as long as China retains at least 200 nuclear missile still aimed at USA. China can use cheaper short range nuclear missiles against India like the DF-25 and CJ-10 and save the more expensive ICBM and SLBM for USA.

That's why China's best way of dealing with India is to change to a first strike policy against India, but no-first use against other countries.

Well, we already deployed our megaton nukes back in 1960s, and we already possessed 200-300 nukes back in 1970s. Do you think we just sit there and did nothing in the last 30-40 years? Unlike Britain and France, we are not under the protection of the American nuclear umbrella and there are two nations in the history that has threatened to nuke us in the past, notably USA and USSR. Therefore, CCP has just took all the measures of building enough deterrence against any contingent situation.

Our modern nuclear arsenal is enough to wipe out the surface population of Earth even it is significantly smaller than US. And destroying Earth XX times is meaningless and totally unnecessary.

And we can build thousands of MIRVed ICBM if we wish, and it only costs us 10-20 million USD per unit. And we can hide them within our 3000 miles underground tunnel that is virtually indestructible against any first strike attack.

The reason that we don't unveil the true figure of our stockpile is because the tension that could be stir up in Asia, especially with the Paranoid Japan.

So don't ever think any fluke that can finish China with nukes. :china:

If you want a hint of China's true number of stockpile. Then a military magazine of Hong Kong has leak information that suggested China having approximately 2000 strategic thermonuclear warheads back in 1990-2000s.

CCP is not stupid, if Uncle Sam decides to finish off their regime with nukes, they would not hesitate to bring down the entire World along with them.

Oh yes, and having Nobel Prize winners in Chemistry complaining about the Peace Prize is like the Nobel Prize winners in Economics complaining about the Prize in Literature. What is the point?

don't you worry, costa rica will be vaporized in any case, so what's the point?

Actually destroying the entire world because the Americans were stupid would be as equally stupid.

It's called Mutually Assured Destruction.

MAD is what prevents countries from actually using the nukes in the first place, at least against other nuclear nations.

I don't mean to interrupt here.

But one point,India isn't under USA's nuclear umbrella.

And even if India asked for USA's assistance on this ,i don't think USA will do anything more than threats .

Of course, the most important point stands,China won't do any such thing in the first place.

Your should convey your concerns to the CCP ,immediately,i"m sure they"ll heed it.
