You lose your pashtun identity when you lose your pashto and adopt another langauge and culture. Langauge is the important criterea of defining pashtun, but if some non-pashto speaker strongely adheres himself to pashtun qaum and its interests then we gladly welcome them in our folds. But if some one is of pashtun ancestory but doesnt care or feel connected to pashtun qaum...then dont expect us to give a damn about them.
Yahya khan ko gooli maro, wo qizalbash ta, uska hamari qaum sey koi taluq nahi. But there is some connection with ayub khan, but he didnt do any thing regarding educations and progress of pashtuns. Instead he once said that as long as pakhtun is illiterate and backward, there is no danger to integrity of pakistan.

Basically Imran Khan is even less pashtun then Afridi who is even less pashtun then someone from FATA. The difference between you and Afridi, IK is while they are proud of their roots but also considers other Pakistanis as their own. While for you only Afghan pashtuns are your brethen over us. Considering Karachi has become biggest Pashtun city in the world, you are even more worried abour pashto of these people.

Don't you think they would have rather stayed in FATA then moving in to Karachi? After all pure pashto is more important then children future. Or how about integrating FATA with rest of Pakistan? But thats also mean they will stop speaking perfect pashto one day. It seem its you who want pashtuns to stay backward, your ethinic bs is pretty clear now. Pashtuns just like any other ethnicity can't progress without integrating themselves with rest of human beings.

Many people say Punjabis dominate and control Pakistan so let us see the just how true such a statement is-


Liaqat Ali Khan- 2 years in office and assassinated he was a Punjabi Jatt.
Khwaja Nazimuddin- 3 years in office he was a Bengali.
Mohammad Ali Bogra- 2 years in office, Bengali.
Chaudry Muhammad Ali- 1 year in office, Punjabi from Jalandar.
Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy- 1 year in office, Bengali.
Ibrahim Ismail Chundrigar- 2 months, Muhajir.
Feroz Khan Noon- 1 year in office, Punjabi jatt or rajput

It should be noted that during the administration of the four Prime ministers above the real power was actually in the hands of Iskander Mirza who was President of Pakistan, about 3 years in office Bengali.

Next came Ayub Khan and his martial law- Dictator, 11 year, Pashtun.
Next Yahya Khan, 2 years as President, Pashtun.
Next back to Prime Ministership, Zulfiqar Bhutto- 4 years in office as Prime minister but previous two years as civilian dictator President, so 6 years, Sindhi Rajput.

Next again dictatorship, Zia ul Haq 10 years, Punjabi.

Benazir Bhutto- 3 year, Sindhi. (PM)
Nawaz sharif- 2 years, Kashmiri. (PM)

Musharaff- 9 years of power in total, Muhajir.

Zardari- 5 years in power, Sindhi of Baloch descent.

Current Nawaz about a year, again Kashmiri.

So basically a Punjabi only really ruled Pakistan during Liaqat Ali Khan and Zia ul Haq so 12 years out of 65+, yet Punjabis are blamed for everything and Pakistan is called Punjabistan? Please discuss inteligently.

Noon = Panjabi Rajput

Yahya Khan = Qazalbash

Ayub Khan = Hazarawal with Pashtun origin/ancestory.

What is wrong with that ? Everyone else has , I see no reason to deny our Chinese brothers a chance to rule Pakistan , for the better maybe . As for the second part , sooner than you think , friend , sooner than you think . The identity crisis and confusion has already reached the boiling point .

Another thread which does not achieve anything other than create more differences and dislike for each other ethnicity. Punjabis would argue that they are blameless and infact the greatest people in Pakistan and that the rest of Pakistanis should be glad to have them, while the rest will brag that we are Turram Khan ki aulad, or Nawab of Tong kay khandaan say, or Sardars of Baloch kay potay or Sindhi Wadera ki toub(cannon) hain.

Aray bhai forget all that. Be proud of your ethnicity but dont impose it on others and dont brag about it as everyone is proud of theirs. Lets just be Proud Pakistani.
