Since 1970's Pakistan army is being "leased" by some arab nations .The Fauji Security Services (Pvt) Limited, which is run by the Fauji Foundation, a subsidiary of the Pakistan Army, is recruiting on war footing basis thousands of retired military personnel from the Pakistan Army, Navy and the Air Force who will be joining Gulf region army, especially in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Do you think its a good idea to send our troops to defend other nation's border. Pakistan army spend millions to train a soldier. Thats another question. But what message it give to other countries ? And KSA / bahrain will do the same if Pakistan need their help ?

"Retired soldiers" and FF Group (which itself is run by retired officers and civilian for the benefit of retired servicemen.) isnt sending anyone anywhere ..

The govt of those countries are recruiting people directly.

Try to see bigger picture and you will get your answers. :-)

what about the ~10k in UN ? UN recruiting or Pakistan sending them ?

Pak army has supplied faujis to other countries for a long time...and still do. whether FF gets a piece of that cake is a different matter....

OP's point is the morality of "exporting" military expertise.

india also sends troops for UN ... Is that leasing aswell?

Yes we have deployed troops in many friendly countries as military advisers, trainers a in special duties so? we still have troops in M.E and other countries in similiar roles to help capacity building of friendly nations .. But they aren't thee to fight Iran or thee countries for those countries ... We also train their troops at our military facilities ...

whether FF gets a piece of that cake is a different matter....
FFG is a welfare organisation for vets... A group of companies, univs, med schools etc.. Not foriegn recruiters.

OP has no point.

Argue with OP, not with me. I don't care what India does. But according to OP's standards, yes, it is.

Maybe he's trying to say that Pakistan shouldn't rent out it's army.

So if retired soldiers take up high paying job offers .. That means Pak is "renting" it's army?

Don't do drugs!

in foreign military forces. Now it's different. And argue with the OP ! I don't hold these views, just pointed out you were misunderstanding his point. That's all.

If it is only hiring of retired defence personnel for the "protection" of Saudi and Bahrini regimes ,then its better
Pakistan help them otherwise India will be more than happy to oblige.

Even US has special provisions in place for Veterans, so what if retired soldiers are getting a job abroad? What is the big deal? And how it is even related to Pakistan Army directly? So any retired soldier who takes up duty of Guard in Pakistan with any security company to feed his family, would mean that security company is getting guards on lease from Pak Army?

.
what is the big issue here...sending pak army to our brotherly nation to help in there need or sending them on a pay scale greater than we can afford ?
in both cases it is a healthy decision (if any taken yet). we need to stop isis and we have the best men on the planet to do that job. BTW I am not saying it in emotions. I can prove my POV.
Cheers :cheers::big_boss:
