Great scientists live in a completely different world which knows no geographical or religious boundary and definitely most of us here do not qualify to live in that world.

I promise you that no one is jealous of your antics and cognitive abilities.... I have watched your relevant posts very closely for over a year now, there is no meat attached to any scientific carcass that you have presented to this date..... it's always flamebait, that too ineffective like the rest of your posts....

Most of the pakistanis praises India and its achievements but they don't speak out in International forums they are envious and jealous of us too.

.
While you can subscribe to your textbooks? 48 we liberated 1/3 Kashmir before Nehru ran to UN, fact not fiction... I know truth hurts

I grew up in Australia, I've never read an Indian textbook.

I honestly couldn't care less about the Indian military beyond that of everyday concern. I am in all ways that matter, Australian, but the warping of history for the purpose of national pride is not something that anyone should subscribe to.

EDIT: Unless you count a book I have by an Indian author on the fundamentals of thermal power plant design :/

. . .
Whats wrong with all of you?? They were both brilliants scientists, and you guys are playing politics on their achievements.... shame on all.... :pissed:

That is true. Both Dr. Homi Bhabha and Dr. Abdus Salam were contemporaries and even friends; with great respect for each other. One of my family members had interacted with Dr. Salam at the IAEA and other International Forums on various occasions. He used to speak very highly of Dr. Salam. Great Scientists are not people with small minds! :)

Prove me wrong, one word azad Kashmir:)

The princely state of Jammu and Kashmir acceded to India after Pakistani forces invaded it, at this point the IA regulars pushed back the Pakistanis to what is now known as Pakistani adminstered Kashmir.

Oh lord, I'm being drawn off topic again.

ahh, so if you pushed us back how come you left 1/3 in our control? :)

Were you feeling generous? And the fact that it was Nehru who went to UN speaks volumes:)

This war was in 1947-48, the IA of the time did not have the logistics capabilities it possess today.

Supply lines were drawn thin, further advances would have led to the loss of capability due to attrition. Ever heard of the proverb an Army marches on its stomach?

The Indian advance was stopped when most if not all strategic locations (the rivers and the majority of the population) within Kashmir was under Indian control.

Plus you forget then that the Pakistan of the time was just a bit less than 1/2 the size of India (in terms of population), it used to encompass Pakistan and modern day Bangladesh.

Edit: I don't know why you keep referring to this as, "us" and "you". I didn't push you back. The Indian Army advanced by pushing back the Pakistani Army with military action.

You are just summing up the reasons of your defeat,ie, your logistics could not hold up,the bottomline is we liberated 1/3 Kashmir, fact! It was Nehru who felt the need to go to UN, fact! Present day's Bangladesh resources (human or otherwise) were not utilised to achieve the gains, fact! Now go ahead and discredit everything as something out of Pakistani textbook:)

I outlined the reason why the Indian offensive didn't continue into modern day Pakistani Kashmir.

At the beginning of the war, 100% of Kashmir was occupied by Pakistan and 0% by India.

By the end of the war, 67% of Kashmir was legally a part of India whereas Pakistan was able to continue occupying 33%.

How does that in any way constitute a defeat?

You kidding me right? You mean Srinagar, Ladakh and all were under our control? Who was it advising me to read stuff other than state propaganda?

My bad.

Kashmiri state forces were able to hold off the Pakistanis in some areas of Kashmir, there were no Indian Army troops present in the princely state of J&K until the Pakistani invasion.

In any case, we are going around in circles. You refuse to use the incredible tools at your disposal to find out the truth. I'm out.
