Well, I read it through.

One thing which I didn't knew that Salam was very close getting a prize well before 1979.

This is true. Btw, the general consensus is that he was a eminent physicist but to win the Nobel you need one really good idea. He was closer before in his first idea mentioned above.

But when he didn’t get it that time, he started bombarding out papers casually. A lot of very surface level stuff, some of which was published before too.
