LCA Tejas LSP-8 Revs Up On Ground​

On December 12, the National Flight Test Centre (NFTC) conducted the initial engine ground run (EGR) on the long awaited eighth limited series production (LSP-8) airframe of the LCA Tejas, according to HAL literature. The LSP-8 is the airframe that is to be handed over to the IAF for user trials. The LSP-8 is likely to make its first flight early 2013, delayed by over a year.

The LSP-7 flew first in March this year.

Wasn't LCA MK2 supposed to be flown in 2012? What happened?

Mk-2 was scheduled to fly in end-2013, not end-2012.

if this much speed continues for mk2 also means,then we will see our first production variant in 2021 or 2022 only. what we are going to do with this in 2022 when we are already inducting our fifth generation fighter.
