if you didnt get it i was being sarcastic.

There are some aspects where LCA Tejas will be Better than Mirage 2000

Mirage 2000 has its own strengths

Nobody is denying it ; Therefore we have a thing called
Mixed Fighter Force Concepts
where the Strengths of Different planes are leveraged
in a single Mission

. .
The LCA has been a joke for 40 years

Rejected by the indian navy after years of the usual indian fanboy tamasha forced upon the indian airforce

It would have been dropped years ago

What kept it alive was ego, the indian government willingness to spend multi millions fixing the LCA lemon

:coffee:
Are you really stating that Pakistan contributed more to JF-17 than China? lol

Yes, PAF inputs to JF-17 due to there superior training and world's best propaganda is way more than anything China has contributed. So, you can safely assume that Pakistani contribution into JF-17 project is more than 80%. Ohhh.......sorry forget one main thing 'DSI' technology.

Now, I am qualified for -ve rating or even a ban:coffee:!!!

What the fu(k is 'fly by wire'?
It's a semi automatic system regulated control mechanism for aircraft, you can relate to power steering in your new car, though it is not so simple.
Fly by wire system replaces primitive all mechanical control system.
It is implemented in lca Tejas but not in jf17.

After building light combat aircraft (LCA) - Tejas - India's target is to build fifth generation fighter aircraft (FGFA) indigenously. This is what H Siddesha, project director and technology director of LCA at the Aeronautical Development Agency of Ministry of Defense said here on Friday.

Siddesha was in the city to deliver a guest lecture on the inaugural day of Footprints X7 - Gujarat's largest technical event organised for three days by the students of M S University's Faculty of Technology and Engineering for the seventeenth consecutive year.

FGFA, which is under development, is very much a future requirement for the Indian Air Force (IAF) upgrade programme. "It should take flight in 2028," he said.

Talking about Tejas, which has been inducted in the IAF, he said, IAF has placed an order of 123 Tejas Mark 1. "Every year, 16 Tejas aircrafts will be built on two assembly lines. By 2024, all the aircrafts will be inducted in the IAF whereas Tejas Mark 2 version will be ready by 2021," he said, adding that Tejas is superior than France's Mirage and China's JF-17 fighter jets.
"So far, Tejas has taken 4,000 flights and in none of them it has met with even a minor accident which is a record in itself.

The technical staff can replace engine of Tejas within 45 minutes and the cockpit and flight control system are world class," he said, adding that although some countries have evinced interest in procuring Tejas from India, the government is yet to take the decision on whether it should be exported. On the inaugural day of Footprints, Dr Ulrich Bez, former CEO and current non executive chairman of Aston Martin also delivered a guest lecture while a workshop of 'Biped Robotics' where participants were taught how to make an autonomous robot capable of running, walking and even doing 180 degree split was taught to the participants.

All is very good but, understated.

Actually tejas is very little very little, superior to rafale.

From 1st March 2017 all French Rafales are being cancelled for the its highness the great Tejas.

What the fu(k is 'fly by wire'?
Fly by wire is the flight control system using computers other than just manual controls.. All modern aircrafts including JF-17 has fly by wire system to control the flight..
For example it will restrict angle of attack of LCA at 24° even if the pilot go beyond it.. It's also a safety feature..
LCAis designed with "relaxed static stability" for enhanced manoeuvrability, so fly by wire is a must for its safety operation.. But JF17 case is different, it has a positive static stability, so fly by wire was added later in JF17..

Maybe that is why India is having a tough time buying Rafale as Tejas is so superior. It must be as India took 30 years to perfect the plane. It's an like aged fine 30 year vintage wine that is superior to wine that is corked just yesterday, such as Rafale.

Do not pretend to be retarded, for your kind information we have produced 17 of them.

After 30 years and India producing 17 of them? That is impressive.

Despite being an Indian I have only criticism for Tejas plane.

I don't understand what Indians blabber about when they say that Tejas plane is indigenous.

Let us take the promise of indigenous development. In 1986 an agreement was quietly signed with the United States that permitted DRDO to work with four US Air force laboratories. The to-be-indigenously-developed engine for the LCA -- Kaveri -- was forgotten and the US made General Electric F-404 engine was substituted. Radar was sourced from Erricson Ferranti, carbon-fibre composite panels for wings from Alenia and fly-by-wire controls from Lockheed Martin. Design help was sought from British Aerospace, Avion Marcel Dassault and Deutsche Aerospace. Wind tunnel testing was done in the US, Russia and France. As for armaments -- missiles, guns, rockets and bombs -- every last item was to be imported.

Oki ... first, everyone jumped to conclusions as he didn't mention 2000
and, oeuf corse, meant Mirage III ... second, it is a normal thing for any
program director to claim superiority ( check Lock-Mart or Cassidian or ... ) ...
third, this is a tad more pronounced in India ... which is proven by the
quote mentioning French Mirages?

So ... French 2000s are shitty but once they get the Indian treatment
as part of their AF they become chariots of the gods, only surpassed by
alien spacecraft inspired marvels designed in Bharat, as we all know.

But, the good side is that once the Raffy replaces red w. orange & blue w. green,
it will by the same nationalistic belief become a few orders of magnitude of
awesome above any other earthly flying machine
[ save LCA mark II OFC ] which
explains why our Indian friends are not worried about J-20s and decreasing
squadron strength?

It's too bad the Typhie wasn't picked and bought cuz it would have gone from

to

in no time flat!

Cheers mate, Tay.

P.S. You owe me 20 quids for the lesson in Indian psyche! :smart:

This is not good. Why are they comparing Tejas with older generation planes?
