'Lawrence of Arabia' star Omar Sharif dies

Shit...! for a moment I thought my favourite Pakistani comedian Umer Sharif died..!!

i hate that fellow... he is too moralistic... i have seen enough of his stage-show vcd's.

Off late he has become such. In his hey days, he was funny.

I was talking about the edition you missed out buying
Oh I see.
The collection of DVDs which i talked about was available at a retailer's shop called Landmark in Andheri Mumbai. The problem was the region coding and i was not sure if the same would play on my DVD player. I purchased a single DVD (Eastwood starring The Good the Bad and the Ugly). It played on my Sony DVD player and when i went back for the set again, it was sold out.
However if you are interested in these movies, i suggest you try it out ebay. But make sure your DVD player has capability to play DVDs from all regions.

I've Dollar Trilogy in HD on my portable drive

umm... omar sharif acted in two big western films, "lawrence of arabia" and "doctor zhivago", both depicting different times but bound by a common desire, western imperialism... these films had modern versions like "rambo", "the dictator". "the interview" and other films of the 80's and 90's.

so i would say, not too great a loss for humanity.

Hum Nahin Sudhrenge!!

As most of the forum members are young and do not know about yester years Actors, I feel sad to inform you that My favourite "Colorado" of Mackenna's Gold has died and also Lawrence of Arabia star!! RIP

The movie is long enough for you to see. To see it you should be in a relax mood. For a jhalak just hear the sound track of 1969.

I have seen that movie countless times!!

Yes I am one of the young ones and wasn't all to familiar with his entire body of work. I did know he was a well revered actor and was in the very legendary movies Dr.Zhivago and Lawrence of Arabia. Rest in peace Mr. Sharif.
