At least 200 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists who have received intensive training in marine operations, are waiting to land on Indian shores from Pakistan.

Highly placed officials in the intelligence establishment say that the boat incident was just the beginning of Lashkar's latest plot against India and they are expectingmore such attempts in the near future. "The threat persists and we have strong reasons to believe that many more such attempts are likely to be made in the future.
A huge number of terrorists who have been specifically trained for such jobs are waiting for their turn to attack Indian interests," said a senior official who oversaw the operation on Thursday morning.Sources say that the four people present in the boat were in constant touch with their handlers in Karachi. "Pakistani handlers based in Karachi were in touch with them. The men in the boat were also communicating with some unknown people whose location we have traced to Thailand," said sources with the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO).
They also confirmed that the four peoplewere in touch with personnel of thePakistan Maritime Security Agency. The Agency is tasked with conducting maritime, military and multi-mission operations and operates under Pakistan's Ministry of Defence (MoD) during peacetime.The intelligence agencies, which were able to listen into the communication between the four people on the boat and their handlers, are still deciphering the code language in which they were communicating.
One of the codes that have intrigued the investigators is "UAE SEA". In the communication between the boat crew and their handlers, the controllers are heard telling the crew members "Paanch paanch lakhrupiya diye hain. (Five lakh rupees each have been given)".
in the subsequent calls, the instructors asked the crew members to assess the situation before deciding what to do next. In the third and final call, the boat crew told the controllers that the equipment theywere supposed to carry had been delivered.Sources say, the fact that the occupants of the boat decided to kill themselves rather than get arrested was also a "very strong sign" that they were on a suicide mission, just like the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai attack.
The intended targets, according to officials, were events planned in Gujarat in the coming days.The Indian security agencies had generated specific inputs regarding a terror attack from the seas in September-October 2014 and had shared the same with the Indian Navy and the other anti-terror agencies.
According to highly placed sources, the very specific input, which was shared last year, had stated that terrorists were likely to re-enact a 26/11 Mumbai attack kind of scenario and were trying to enter Indian cities by using the sea route.The input at the time was regardingthe southern coast.It was after these inputs that the security in and around the coastal areas was increased, as a result of which the Coast Guard was able to stop the suspicious Pakistani boat about 370 km from Indian shores.
