The web portal of Lahore district government was allegedly hacked on Tuesday by Indian hackers.

“Pakistani kids keep distance from Indian server. It’s payback for hacking Indian sites,” a message on the website read.

The attack which came in retaliation to alleged Pakistani hackers targeting Indian websites, was carried out by a hacker group called IND 3MB3R.

The Lahore district website now shows an image of a sadhu followed by an Indian Army insignia.

Indian and Pakistani hackers have been constantly hacking into eachother’s websites. Last month, the web portal of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Right to Information (RTI) Commission was allegedly hacked by Indian hackers. The cyber attack came a day after hackers defaced India’s elite National Security Guard’s website and left anti-India messages.

Only if you knew that these websites are handled by either 3rd party or some by some lame guy from Department of Information System who just does whats been asked to do. It has nothing to do with NSG practices.

So kids feeling proud are wasting there time, probably time taken to find the exploit was more then time taken to build the website :p, they will just do a copy paste again on new server.

Ya it funny day...
Come out of movies world, the website of NSG is not a gateway inside the NSG system or internal network as movies would show up that you hack in some password mechanism and you have access to entire system. The site has been hacked is just a public face to share information about NSG. Most of this sites are hosted on Apache based servers which have many zero days vulnerability publicly available. So its not that hard to deface a website. And NSG website is maintained by IT Cell of NSG which does more or less does a clerical job to keep up with digital india and information availability. The website design speaks much about the capabilities of this team.

And just your information
http://www.fbr.gov.pk/ -- Federal Board of Revenue, Govt. of Pakistan Website developed by PRAL http://pral.com.pk (3rd party)

http://www.pmdc.gov.pk/ - PMDC is an autonomous corporation under the administrative control of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources , Government of Pakistan, Website developed by Meelas Intl (3rd party)

http://nha.gov.pk/en/ - National Highway Autority - Pakistan, website developed by http://sign.com.pk/ (who dont have proper website too )

http://www.pakirsa.gov.pk/ - Indus River System Authority, website developed by NESPAK Software Engineering

And you elite Pakistan Airforce website http://paf.gov.pk/ is so outdated that it uses codes written by 3rd party in 1997 and further developed in 2002
http://www.paf.gov.pk/mm_menu.js
http://www.paf.gov.pk/ALTTXT.JS (supporting IE4, that came in 1996/97)
So lets not talk about due diligence here...

Finally, when you talk to Indians dont mess about Technology :coffee:

LOL you dont know anything about IT ... and specially websites

son, websites are not hacked by what code they are written in, specially javascript . it does give some info out but to hack it you need network intelligence.

I know indian IT world as well ... so do not ask me about it... its as messy as indians in general ..

Thats what happens when you just want to argue for sake of argument and self pride and dont read....

Read again what I said about Web servers and read about zero day vulnerability about servers, programing languages, packages etc.

And network intelligence is last thing that you might need to deface a website :P 99% dont even care about network for publicly hosted websites :D

Those JS links where to give you an idea about due diligence at PAF, about how outdated they are ...

You need to clear your glasses to see things in totality, be it IT or be it Indians at large.

Your stupid argument do not qualify for a response from me.
old JS file does not mean the vulnerability of server its hosted on or other things ...

And network intelligence is last thing that you might need to deface a website :P 99% dont even care about network for publicly hosted websites :D

LOL indian logic ...

Defacing a web and hacking into data servers are two different things. Defacing doesnt mean stealing of important data, but changes visual appearance of web (transfers you from real page to one of hackers own website).
