It's a face saving retreat for the Indians. Before their boasting, they were angry about PLA in finger 4. After their boasting, now they don't care -- they have control over the whole LadakhSeriously, the Indians are masters of BS and huge exaggeration. They have moved their troops to Gurung Hill to face the Chinese and are boasting as if they have taken the whole Ladakh.

India holds useless vantage points the Chinese would likely bypass anyways should a further build up be necessary.
