I really don't understand this article. How is accepting the Chinese fait accompli the "ugly option" while launching a frontal attack to expel the Chinese is just the "bad option"? This makes no sense at all. Expelling the PLA by force would likely trigger the Second Sino-Indian War. Should that happen, then the Indians would be wishing they had taken the ugly option since 1000 square kilometers of territory pales to whatever they are going to lose in the future war. The Indians got themselves into this mess through what they did at Doklam and last August ... except now they are finally beginning to pay the price in blood and lost territory.
