Anyone else whatces the series?
I am a big fan. Watched the entire Ertugrul series and today watched the episode 17 with unofficial Urdu translation.
The story has taken an interesting turn

I knew that our series were quite popular in many Muslim countries but didn't know that Kurulus Osman and Payitaht Abdulhamid were popular too lmao

Most of these folks think its an original series however.. a large part of it is fiction connected with actual events.

Let me know when the Pakistani drama industry, whose dramas are great in their own capacity, produces something the whole world can watch.

That's true. For ex. I am sure Dirilis Ertugrul is quite famous too, but the only informations we have about him doesn't even fill a page.

in one episode of Payitaht Abdul Hamid series the sultan calls out to Pakistanis, but there was no Pakistan in his time.. lol

I haven't watched that series yet but obviously he was calling Indian Muslims...many of whom would later be Pakistanis...or their descendents...

Waiting for English subtitles. If there's a good source with Urdu subtitles, I'll watch that too.

I know I will trigger many AKP-fans but those series are used as a drug for AKP-voter ummah fans to make them think the Ottoman Empire in it's decline was the strongest state in the World.

I remember seeing a scene from Payitaht: Abdulhamid while trying to search for something to watch. The Sultan was shouting to an ambassador-I think he was English- and making big words to him like '' I won't give these lands which my ancestors gave their lives for it'' but in reality he gave away all of N.Africa except Libya, half of the lands in the Balkans and the Cyprus LMAO

im not making any comparisons here with our local series which are dirt ....but if you dont believe me you can read the history and compare that with the series.. they prolong it with fictional stories on purpose..more seasons more money.

Whatever dude. I liked the series even if they prolonged it. In prolonging the series, they fleshed out what was happening in neighboring regions at the time. Like the producers/directors/storytellers did in the History channel show The Vikings, which I also watch.

And I did look up historical references in the show like the Ayyubid Dynasty, the Templar/Crusader forts/bases in Anatolia and some other stuff.

Incursions of Mongols into Anatolia is true also. You're basing the ambiguity of the character Ertugrul as a basis for the whole series being fictional.

Sogut as a base for Ertugrul and later Osman Gazi is true also. And I can go on and on...
